Tremor Striping Concept

I have decided to give 3M wrap a go — I spent the weekend reviewing 3M and Avery application procedures and tools and have decided to do this myself. I suspect the project will be well under $500 in supplies, but will update once I have purchased everything.

I have decided to model the truck after a Hennessey Volociraptor wrap I found online (you can view additional photo here):

I am going to be using 3M wrap and have ordered a sample book to identify the colors — online matching of Ford Active Orange is difficult, but appears to be close to 3M Gloss Sunflower Yellow. I need to see the samples to more closely match the grille:

I plan to also add the Addictive Desert Designs Stealth Fighter front and rear bumper — or something very similar.

The tailgate is going to follow the contour — Sam did it with his 2021 F150 on Backroad Driver. Here is a screen shot of his, mine will be the same but with also the F150 Letters in Active Orange.

The taillights are already tinted on the Tremor —I am going to tint the cab brake light next weekend. I may also pull around the side a bit with the wrap as done on the Hennessey:

Wasn’t a big fan of the tailgate on that one. To each their own….
Not sure if I like it more then nothing at all.

There are some tailgate appliqués that fit the 2021 F150 — I imagine a Tremor version may show up eventually. I think the vinyl looks as good if not better than the one below.

It’s nearly $500 on the Ford accessories page, isn’t it? I do like the visual, but for vinyl at a fraction of that cost, similar outcomes. Yeah they need a tremor version, like the Raptors . I’m guessing that’ll be a 2023 addition to the 402a, maybe even 401 package.

Now that would be a cool option for 2022 — i wish there was stronger branding and graphics options like the Raptor series has. Time will only tell.

Ok, here is the 2021 Raptor appliqué — I am lookin for this without the raptor stamp on the bottom right. I would like to simply put the Tremor badge already present on the tailgate in its spot — or another like it.

What if you dremel off the Raptor? Re-apply the Tremor emblem?

I think I may just go ahead and buy the part and roll with the Raptor on it lol.

First goal is actually finding the appliqué — I don’t know if you can buy it directly from Ford or not. I do agree, its an easy transition to Tremor and would look really nice. Plus, if you can also get another tailgateTremor badge, you may not have to remove the original Ford Oval or Badge — they may fit underneath. Now I know some of the kits use a 3M tape to affix the appliqué to the tailgate. I have no experience on how well it holds or if it is standard to affix it this way or not.

You can find last gen Raptor appliqués on EBay. We may need to wait a year for the Gen 3 Raptor appliqués to start showing up tho.

The Raptor emblem is actually inset, so just removing and putting Tremor on it won't really be an option. I'll take a close up of mine later and post it for you guys to see.

Okay, so i am going to have some of the striping and logo vinyl printed to get an exact color match with Ford Active Orange:

- Ford Performance in Ford Active Orange for bottom of front doors
- Ford Active Orange Swoop with Black Boarder for sides
- The rest is regular 3M Satin Black (Tailgate and bottom side panels, hood stripe)
- A vinyl panel of Ford Active Orange for front hood striping

I found a template to work with on illustrator with so the sizes are correct:

Found this recently, unfortunately it looks like the raptor logo is recessed in to a tremor logo wouldnt be a direct fit

I love what you are attempting to do, color looks great.

Did you ever do anything with the wrap you said you were purchasing?

I couldn’t find a match for the color and was looking at printing panels custom… As time went on I decided to shelve it.

Gotcha. I might share those pics with a local PPF place and see if they can duplicate side striping accent and a hood accent as well. Ill update when I know more.
