Looking to tow a 2006 BMW X3 4,023 lbs. I have the standard hitch, will I exceed capacity and do I need a special receiver I have the 2 inch ball. The U-Haul auto transport carrier is 2210 empty. My Tremor is the high end package 402a. Thx!! U-Haul won’t accept this configuration on the site which is why I’m asking. Thx!

I bought my son a 2014 335i xdrive M Sport in Richmond VA a couple years ago and towed it home with a U Haul car hauler without issue. From U Haul's site: When towing with your own vehicle, the car trailer will require a 1 7/8” or 2” hitch ball, the appropriately rated hitch system, as well as external mirrors and fullyfunctional lighting. You won't have any issues.

I pulled my Jeep hundreds of miles and it did great. I weighed it at the truck stop- 8000 pounds!

You may have to play with the u-haul configurer- there's like 3 different "step bumper" options. Keep trying until one works. I'm sure their database is flawed.

Before the level- the jeep actually leveled the truck.

After the level, the Jeep sags the rear end pretty bad. I have airbags going in soon.

For years, U-Haul wouldn't configure any trailer with a Ford Explorer, even after the redesign was introduced in 2012. They err significantly on the side of caution. Game their system to find a match with any 4X4 F-150. The Tremor tows well over 7,500 lbs which is more than the combined weight of the car/trailer.
