Does anyone have a preference on adding rear wheel well liners vs getting a professional to spray in an undercoating? I have not lift/leveled the truck yet.

Anyone with the undercoating, did you remove the front stock wheel well liners to undercoat there as well. Did you put the liners back on after or leave them off?

I went with Husky liners in the rear wells. Our local Linex dealer would not spray because of no lift. Got a verbal from local Ford dealer dealer for $300. I purchased them from Realtruck.com for $119 and arrived within the week. Just trimmed the liners around the upper shock mount for access to nut. Quick, easy and actually better coverage and protection for wiring connections from mud and rocks. There is even an install video on their website. IMO I don’t see the point of spray up front when you already have liners.

Wheel liners. Husky.. Easy and Better.. Here is my install video.

Husky liners for me as well. I trimmed them to expose the rear shocks. Took an extra 5 mins to do so. No issues and I would buy them again. Cheap protection, looks good and easy to clean by pressure washing them off.

Why would it be either/or? I live here on the coast and watched my 2011 F150 rust out from under me in the course of 6 years. That's just ramp use and surfing down in CB where the rain floods the streets. Once that cancer starts, it's tough to stop. The aluminum body is a big improvement, but wheel well liners won't save your frame.

That's just a coastal guy talking - not sure how winter road treatment would affect the frame and under carriage. I intend to do both!

It protects the area from dirt and other road debris not to mention that the area is just more aesthetically pleasing to look at as compared to the same area without the liners and part of the frame exposed and covered in grim which really stands out especially on lighter colored F150’s.

With that being said, any F150 spending the majority of its life in a salt water area or in a state that has real winter weather every year, said F150 will be prone to frame rust more so than a F150 in the opposite type of area / state.

Another one for Husky. More coverage than OEM and cheaper. Trimmed a very small amount for whatever reason it wouldn't work on passenger side. Took all of 20min to install. 10/10 would do again.
