Does anyone else find the 402a auto adjust headlights disappointing? I have a 2023 402a and I am just not super pleased with the brightness of the headlights, how long it takes the auto to cut on, or how the smallest reflection from mail boxes or street signs prevent the auto high beam from cutting on.

Maybe turning on Bambi mode helps this? Has anyone had any success upgrading their headlights to something aftermarket and brighter than OEM and still having the functionality of the auto adjust?

I liked mine as stock but agree they could get faked out too easily sometimes. However I enabled glare free and could not be happier, now it’s fun to watch how the light dances around other vehicles while keeping the sides of the roads lit up. You might be able to do this too, mine is an early ‘23 and it was easy with forscan.

I’m 100% happy with mine in all aspects.
With that being said, it’s highly doubtful that many if any owners of “402A equipped TREMORS”would remove the OEM Dynamic Bending headlights for anything aftermarket because that would be a massive downgrade.

Adding Glare Free brings out their true potential for sure. I can’t say I’ve been disappointed with them in stock form but it’s definitely been nice to have the modded programming. It still blows my mind that’s not technically approved in regulation here yet. It has to be close because they’re still installing them. The new Navigator has them but I’m not sure if they’re active or not due to ongoing NHTSA bull

I’d definitely like to do this but I know I’ll screw something up with FORScan because I’m a Mac guy. 🤣

same as this. auto high beam feels slow in both my fords. now with glare free i never touch them and its amazing tech (except for i wish they came earlier at dusk and stayed on later at dawn hours)

I don't run the auto high beams in any of my cars. The other issue with them is that a car on a side street is getting blinded because the light sensor doesn't see them.

I should try the glare free option. I bought a $280 laptop just to run the Forescan program because I'm also a Mac person. I also don't trust Russian software on my normal computers.

I would like to do the glare free as well, but afraid I would screw it up. With that being said is there anyone in Mid-Mo. that can

I was scared. Just take your time. Check 3 times, commit the change once. Do it slow and methodical. You'll be fine. (And backup your as built first!)

Another vote for glare free. Watch YouTube videos and read thru the Forscan tutorials on F150forum and you will be fine.

This only works on '23 models and below. I believe '24 models and up had the feature removed.

Correct, 24+ models have downgraded headlights that do not have glare free capabilities

Must have the projector, steered LEDs from 21-23. After that, Ford downgraded you!

Frankly ridiculous. Not like raptors aren't selling enough already!!!
But at least the non-23 older models got a new tailgate. 😂

I programmed in the glare free yesterday. AMAZING! Like magic. I can't believe I drove 2 years without them. I tested them last night on winding busy 2 lane roads and nobody flashed me, so they must be doing their job.

Does Ford see this when you modify with forscan? Worried about a warranty issue.

This was the question I was about to ask as well.
