HELP!!! I installed some KC Flex Era 4s tonight and hooked them up to Upfitter 1. When I turned them on with my backup lights connected to Upfitter 2 the Aux Upfitter 1 does not have power. I also have a reverse brake assist not available error on my dash. I think I checked the right fuse under the hood but I am not sure. I used a continuity tester on the fuse and it checked out fine. Does anyone know what i am doing wrong? Or what I should check next?

I think the reverse brake assist was due to rain on the rear bumper.

So does anyone know what fuse or relay to check for upfitter 1.

saw your post on facebook, how did you connect to the aux switch wire?

did the lights work at all at first and now they don't or they never worked?

Yes they worked for about 15 seconds then Went out.

I bought these connections and installed them on each wire under the hood.

It worked fine for my backup lights for about 3 months. I tested the wire with a multimeter and I do not have 12 volts at the wire.

going off of the specs i see, the flex era 4's draw 6.7 amps each. so the 2 lights you have would draw 13.4 amps. the connectors you bought claim 10 amps max current rating. Also, Aux 1 is a 10A fuse.

this being said, if your fuse looks good, check your connector. i doubt the connector would fail and not cause the fuse to fail, but who knows.

no matter what, you should be putting the 2 lights on aux 2 or 3 which have 15 amp fuses.

Totally and thats where I plan on keeping the lights on 2. After work tonight I plan on troubleshooting the connector and swapping the fuse.

Ok, Fuse was good, swapped it with a known good and tested to make sure I have power at the fuse panel. So I am down to two things, either I am looking at the wrong fuse (I totally think this is the case) or I have an issue somewhere else in the wiring harness (highly doubtful as my Aux 1 switch still shows Blue for off and orange for on in the cab). I looked at the fuse diagram in the manual and cannot seem to find the right 10 amp fuse. It shows up fitter 1 as position 60 but that is a 15 amp fuse and no other references to up fitter 1, Aux 1.

Found it. It was relay number 3 on the fuse diagram in the manual.
So it's working now? With that much amp draw, I would wire a relay and take battery power to those lights and use the Aux 1 to trigger the relay. That's a lot of juice to be running all the way up to the headlight and back to the bumper.

yeah, either relay that or move the pair (then relay it). Each light is 160W which is 6.7A @ 24V or 13.3A @ 12V. So a pair of them is 26.6A @ 12V. Also, may want to think about 12 or 14 AWG between the new 30A relay and the "y cable"/splitter for the lights depending on the length of both the negative and positive wires, combined.

Yeah looking at the supplied wiring harness it looks like the 12 volt lead on the other side of the relay is the same gauge as the upfitter. Also I think those amp ratings are for the whole light not just the white light. The amber background light is on a harness from Starsky that people use for raptor style grill lights. So far everything is good. I ran them for a while last night with no issues.
