VIN#'s and Build Dates

Did anyone get their VIN#/build date today? I'm a little over a month past the order date, and I know for a lot of people that was the sweet spot for getting theirs. I haven't gotten mine yet, so I'm just trying to see if build dates/VIN#'s are still going out or if chip delays are also delaying every other part of the process.

I don't know if this helps you or not but I never got any emails from ford. I ordered late november, had to call dealer to get VIN and order number eventually. Dealer also said I had a late Feb delivery ETA. I never received anything from ford and the tracker was down.

This week my truck went into production, window sticker populated in the Ford tracker, and it lists a blend date of 2/10. With everyone's trucks getting chip delayed I have no visions of getting my late Feb delivery date. BUT, they are still building them I guess.

There is a huge delay due to sone door modules and chips from what im hearing, i guess it has to do with that.

I heard several month delay was just added. I had ordered Dec 1 and had heard nothing. I talked a local dealer into letting me have xplan on a Tremor delivered to his lot this past Monday almost identical to what I ordered. I cancelled my actual order yesterday.

A guy at the lot I was talking to (was going to take my Tremor if I didn't) ordered in November and told me he received a TENTATIVE build date in May. I wish everyone a lot better luck than that.

I suppose the real question is, when do we start the "who's getting their 2023 Tremor first" post.

Placed new order start of Jan22 and only have the initial email.

Hopefully things start to pick up quickly but tbh I'd rather have a delayed build date with it going from built to shipped without holding in a lot somewhere.

Ordered mine in September with an estimated delivery date of May 19th. Almost a 9 month turnaround. Ordered a 401 with not a whole lot of options that require extra chips….you’ll be waiting for a while unfortunately.

I assumed as much. I just didn't know if I would get a VIN and a build date that's 5 months away now, or if they would wait until the estimated build date was closer. I'm fully expecting a May or June build as a best case scenario....

Fords communication is hit and miss. Took me a couple months at least to get an email with build date and window sticker.

I'm hoping to get it soon, even if the build date is months off. Mostly because I made a promise to myself that I wouldn't order any Tremor specific aftermarket goodies until I had a VIN.

It is crazy how much disparity there can be between the initial order and the Vin/build date. I've seen a few others get theirs within a week, while several have to wait a few months.

Right? I've been lurking and trying to figure out when I'm getting my truck based on the data everyone else has provided. Figured I'd join and contribute with my own excitement for my order.

I ordered 12/17 and got my VIN mid January with a build week of 3/7. We’ll see if it holds.

So these trucks that are built but waiting for a few chips sit out in the sun for months in a lot vs getting a new truck that would be garaged most of the day? They must take a beating in the sun/bad weather.

Ordered mine Monday fully jammed . they said 2 to 3 months. but now reading this i don't think i'm getting it this year

I've been watching the various build date threads for a few months now. I ordered mine 10/19. It was "built" sometime in December and then was supposed to be shipped early January. I now have a delivery date of 2/7, though it changed from 2/1, to 2/4, now to 2/7.

Watching other threads, I can assume that from the date of ordering, you have anywhere from a 3-5 month wait. Most seem to be right around 3 months from order to completion, but this was based off most orders I saw placed in the fall/early winter. With the next wave of this chip shortage, I expect things to delay a bit further.

Also labor forces are getting hit big with this more contagious omicron variant, so I expect that is not helping the situation for supply chains and manufacturing, let alone just transport.

There are some lucky folks, that seem to have been straight lined with 2.5 month wait times. People that have ordered after me have received their trucks, but I bet there are a few that ordered before me, still waiting as well. I probably took more time because my truck is loaded 402a as well.
