Anyone with experience dealing with Ford and body damage on warranty claims?

Got a new truck, didn’t see anything at delivery but when I got to the first hand wash/wax found a crinkle/dent/ding in the rear passenger door piller/cab piller about 50” off the ground.

For from Granger so would be need to work with my local Ford deal on warranty claim. Just curious if anyone has tips as I’m assuming they’d just blame me.

If you didn't purchase the chip, dent, ding insurance from Ford you probably are S.O.L. But hopefully not.

I'd guess there's a clause saying you accepted the vehicle. For example, my purchase order has a clear box that says "By initialing below, you represent that you have thoroughly inspected the Vehicle and approve and accept it..."

They may do you a solid if you ask but they likely don't have an obligation.

When I purchased my '23 Tremor from a dealer in the state of Indiana (I'm in PA) they delivered it after dark. I found several areas of body damage on the passenger side the next day. I took it to my local dealer who did an estimate and then contacted the selling dealer. The selling dealer claimed it was done by the shipping company who delivered the truck to their dealership and agreed to file a claim with them. I'm pretty sure that story was a load of BS but I didn't care so long as I wasn't the one paying for the repairs which were eventually done by my local dealer's body shop. I have no idea who actually paid the bill but it wasn't me. The truck was built in January of '23 and I didn't get it until the end of July '23. I did not order it but instead found it in the Indiana dealer's inventory. I find it hard to believe that the dealer would have had it on their lot for at least several weeks if not months and couldn't see the damage or fix it before trying to sell it. Also, the dealer had lots of photos of the truck on their website and I couldn't see any of the damage in those photos. I think the damage was done by either the driver who delivered the truck to me or more likely during a test drive since all four tires and all four wheel wells had dried mud on them when it was delivered. When I asked the driver where that came from all he said was "I have no idea." Right. He also told me he had gone through an automatic car wash less than 15 miles from my house which was also an obvious lie. I originally planned to drive my trade-in to the dealership but changed my mind when they offered to deliver the truck to me for free. Now why would they do such a nice thing like that?
