Just giving a heads up on current orders that you may get bumped to the 23 MY. I put in an order for a 400A with tow tech, Co Pilot, Torsen and a few other options. The order was placed in early April and was hoping to get the truck in 3-4 months. I contacted Ford to see if I had a VIN and was told that it was being moved to a 23 model year. I entered the chat twice to confirm it wasn’t a misunderstanding. I’ll be talking to the dealership Monday, and will see if I get more details. It’s my understanding that Ford will be changing the infotainment to Android Automotive, which is fine, but I really don’t want a price increase. Time will tell.

Yikes. So won’t even be confirmed as an order until July 18th or whenever the date is for MY23 orders to open?

That's crazy! I get the idea, maybe they'll start getting caught up on trucks that have been sitting in the lot for 4 months...but what was rhe point of closing the banks on Friday if they were going to do that. I wonder if your dealer was out of allotments for April and by the time they had more it was past the close date....

Great question, and I really hope that is not the case. I’ll have a few questions on Monday for sure. If this is an allotment issue and it wasn’t disclosed, hopefully they’ll make it right.

My suspicion is that they will be prioritizing Lightning orders (I could easily be wrong on this one), and these delays will be rolling down the line for late 22 orders.

Unfortunately I think you're on to something. Didn't the CEO come right out and say that if there was a chip shortage the lightnings would get them?

I wonder if there are any changes on the 23 Tremors from the 22? I ordered a 22 401a on 4/15/22.

I know they are working to roll out Andriod Automotive. There were a few delays, but I think it may roll into the 23 MY. This should get rid of the Sync 4 system.

Pretty sure this will come via an update to older cars that already have android auto as well though. It's just an update to their existing system.

Just watched a video on AA, since I hadn't heard of it before. Seems to be almost the same as Android Auto/CarPlay, just without the need for a phone to be connected? Seems cool but not game changing.

That’s my understanding, I think everyone with Sync 4 will be fine.

All I care about is getting the full screen android auto. Lol

I ordered on January 22. They were two price increases while I was waiting on my truck. I was grandfathered into the contract I signed. Does that apply if they change your model year?

It will yes. Up to a 50% price increase I believe

Edit: but you will still be a MY22
