Just wondering what color truck everyone is planning on buying?

I love the AMB enough to not buy it. With how I use my trucks, it would be fully pinstriped within 3 months. LF is the order.

LF is nice. It would be great to see a Performance Blue for 2022. I saw some posts that the Raptor is getting Performance Blue for 2022.

I'm going the LF route with Xpel Stealth PPF. Tired of polishing scratches.

Iconic Silver. I don’t want to deal with all the maintenance issues and f the other colors. Been there done that.

Exactly why I’m going with a full PPF. With the trails I go on, any color gets destroyed and needs a cut and buff.

Lead Foot for me. Matches my driving style

I called a wrap shop and the said $8K for PPF. I though that was crazy. What should price be and what kind of biz do you get it done at?

That's about right for a full PPF. The PPF product will also influence the price. A regular vinyl wrap is closer to $5K. I will likely be using the Xpel recommended installer for my area.

How long will a vinyl wrap such at the Xpel Stealth PPF hold up for in an off-road environment? Can you just replace panels of the material as needed?

Yes, you can replace panels. It should hold up very well as its supposed to self heal from minor scratches. I supposed anything that would normally go through paint could damage a panel.

I've got several rock chips all the way to the white fiberglass on my Raptor and some scratches that even cut and buffs could fix, that is the type of stuff I'm hoping to avoid. And I really want the matte finish. Will I ever see a return on the investment? Not likely, I'm doing it for my OCD sanity and the looks. I've had lead foot for 3 years now...need a slight change, but really wasn't into the other colors available.

Appreciate the information — until recently I hadn’t even thought of the idea of wrapping an entire vehicle.

I am the worst when it comes to sticking to only using touchless carwashes — even with my previous Infinity. I always eventually end up using a regular carwash (typically have a monthly pass) and will eventually see some faint marks from the brushes in the paint. Is the wrap carwash safe and will it hold up to the carwash overtime?

I don’t want to do a ceramic coat, so I was thinking a wrap may be the way to go on the truck.

The XPEL Armor looks pretty neat — 13 mil thick! I’ll need to check into the prices.
You thinking rocker panels?

To be honest, I wouldn’t mind doing the entire truck if affordable. Minus that, yeah I would concentrate on areas most likely to be chipped.

Just making sure you know that the Xpel Armor is basically Linex installed as sheets. It's not just a clear wrap.

Oh, I see — the truck in the image on the XPEL website has only the bottom done. I thought it was a clear application over the entire vehicle. As you describe it, it would have to be installed in select areas.

There is an guy who actually covered his whole Raptor in Linex and says it's supper hard to keep clean. And it's heavy stuff.
