I just got my Tremor a few days ago, but have a question I haven't been able to find an answer for. There is a vent just behind the rear driver's side door in the middle of the pillar. The ductwork is coming out from a closed box under the seat, which I'm presuming has something to do with the 2kw generator, maybe(?). The air sound coming from the vent is fairly loud, and seems to be independent of the A/C fan speed. Can anyone enlighten me on this one?

I would like to know the answer to this question, too. I’m planning on asking the dealership tomorrow.

I suspect you’re correct - has to do with the generator. I haven’t noticed any noise from back there.

Did you ever get an answer from your dealer about that back vent?

I’ve been distracted this week and haven’t asked yet. Sorry about that!

Here was the reply from the dealership:

“Okay parts tells me, its used to keep the power converter, (the generator) in the back cool so it doesn't overheat. it has to be constantly running.”

That's what I figured, but I wonder why it has to run if the generator isn't being pulled on? Seems unnecessary, but apparently not. Mine's loud enough to be noticeable in the front seat if the radio is down low. If you're sitting right beside it in the back seat, it's pretty loud.

Same with mine. I’m going to bring it in to the dealership when I get a chance, just to see if there’s something that can be done about the noise.

I found a solution in another forum. Apparently, we can go into the Pro Power Onboard settings and power off the inverter. It takes about a minute or so, but the vent noise will stop. Unfortunately, this will need to be done each time you start your engine. 😒

I wonder why it is running by default and can this be set to stay off between shutdowns with forscan?

Seems like it should default to "off", not "on". At least that answers that question!

That probably powers your 400 watt plug, too. I'll be replacing mine as soon as I get my truck home. I have a bunch or hi frequency inverters that should fit and won't be loud no matter the draw.

I should get an appointment with Yeti for some upgrades.

If you can do it through the Sync system, my bet is that you can change the default setting using Forscan.

Ok, so after I turned off my music and the front AC — yup I can hear it. Tunes back on. Lol

How did you guys get that setting. What package is that for the tremors??? As far as I know all the tremors come with the same generator. The power post is not a option for the tremor

You can get the 2KW package for it, only.

There was a thread somewhere that someone mentioned it could be done. I'll see if I can find it but I'm guessing Forscan? I guess I'll be learning it once I get my truck.

I spoke to dealer today. There is a TSB on this issue, but he indicated there is not currently a fix. I believe I read on one of the forums that there was a programming fix that they could do, but can't seem to find it now.
