Ok, definitely not a factory part there. Trace those wires. If it’s a company truck it could be a tracker/data spot. Whoever did it wasn’t trying to hide it though so I don’t think it’s malicious?

Could be an anti-theft module to track the vehicles key/ignition position and transmit when it is in motion and where.

I wouldn't have taken delivery of that. I don't want the dealership's obvious aftermarket crap in my truck. Especially not drilled into the interior paneling like that.

A lot of times dealerships have their own Lojack type service that they bundle with their extended warranties which allow the truck to be located, etc. This is not necessary on the newer Ford's as we have that functionality built into Ford pass. My guess its some third party tracking and theft recovery stuff pimped by the dealer and installed in the most obvious way possible.

Definitely something that was installed by the previous owner of your vehicle.
It might be some kind of GPS device that many used car lots use.
