Noticed this hanging from the bottom of the truck today. The adhesive that holds it on failed on half of it. It's only about a 1'x2' rectangle and I'm not sure what's it's there for.

What’s the material? Looks like a heavy felt paper or like chip board or something? Or, like a roofing shingle.
I wonder if it’s some pad for sound vibration dampening in the bed or something. Or, vibration / rubbing of the bed on something?

Elmer's glue - it's the latest rage in automotive manufacturing.

Yep, my two thoughts were glue it back or rip it off.

It's like a foam material. I thought it has to be for dampening as well but the size of it just being a rectangle on the passenger side makes no sense to me.
