There's been a lot of talk about different wheels on here, I figured I would share what I would like to see offered by a wheel company. The wheels off an old military style humvee. And here's why.

That’s the theory, but I’ve never seen the bar much less it put into practice. I have thought it might be interesting to have an adapter welded up that goes between the wheel and lug nuts giving you the same functionality. I feel like it would be a last ditch effort kinda thing though.

I was sent to an off-road driving course when my unit first started using the Humvees, that's the only time I used it personally, but like you said most units pull those kits off and you never see them again. It actually works ok, not as good as a winch but can get you outta trouble if you do it right.

Interesting if it weren't so bulky, I mean it's still viable but where I go I can see that hung up on a rock easy.

And old guy I used to overland with in AU had 2 of them. I couldn't get out of a rut and he busted them out and poof, unstuck
