In doing a quick search, there are many of you that mentioned applying a ceramic coating to your Tremor’s… curious as to which product you went with and how its going so far?
Did you do it yourself or had it applied? Ballpark for those who had it applied? TIA.

I had my Raptor done, cost around $900. (Correction plus coating)
Once I get my tremor, I’m going to do it myself, leaning towards using Gtechniq crystal serum light and exo4.

I have had my last four cars Cermic coated and just finished detailing my Atlas Blue Explorer (which is coated).

After seeing how hard it was to get my micro scratches o ut of a coated vehicle and given the fact that my Tremor will be black, I am not coating the Tremor.

I will stick to my twice a month minor paint correction and a quality sealant. Currently going with Griot 3 in 1 Ceramic wax.

Interesting, I have an appointment to have my lead foot Tremor coated this week. Curious did you run your coated vehicles through an automatic car wash or did those micro scratches happen from daily use? I have never had a ceramic coated vehicle before.

My cars are always washed at home with the appropriate products, but micro abrasion just happen, as do minor scratches from the general public who dont care about your car. I just find that the ceramics actually make it harder to correct these imperfections and that a quality detail with good products can last upwards of 6 months. I usually do a thorough detail before and after winter. But again, that is just my opinion.

It’s totally worth it and I’ll have to disagree with the above poster.
I have 2 black vehicles, one coated, one not and it is a night and day difference maintaining them.
A good ceramic coating won’t swirl or show scratches as easy as an uncoated vehicle.

Thanks for the data point. I am going to move forward with it and will post some pics. The shop that I am using is the highest rated in Vegas and when I went in there my Tremor was definitely the "poor man's" vehicle in the shop :). From what I have read the application process is the most important variable, hoping for good results.

Update: this past weekend and after lots of research, I went with Apex Surface Protection...a bit on the higher pricing, but one coat, easy to use and amazing results. Will post an update in a few months....BTW they have a youtube site with a wealth of detailing tips...
