Hey guys, I was just curious of everyone's general opinions on things like black vs painted fender flares and black vs bronze colored wheels...things like that.

I've seen various opinions spread throughout other postings, but wanted to kind of make a place to get them together to for pondering.

I know everyone has different opinions but if you're like me it's nice to hear all the pros and cons others think of before making your decisions. Right now, I'm deciding if I want to keep the flares I buy black or paint them white to match

Please feel free to post your pics too!

I like some accents in black and tremor orange, I plan to powdercoat method rims to match the orange with some black accents. I don't personally like the black fender flares, I think they look much better white.

There are good black accents, I don't think that's one of them personally.

I like some trucks with them black and some with them painted. I really like black on white, but I'm hesitant to do too much.

You'll have to post the wheels though. I really like the subtlety of the orange, but that has a lot of potential.

Debating all this myself waiting on my Oxford White. I've thought about black fender flares and getting the bumpers painted black as well. I really like the look of the Ram Rebel with the two tone but since it's designed that way I'm not sure if it would look good on a Tremor with less intent. There's a build on here somewhere with paint to match fenders that looks really good too.

Ultimately my goal is to make it as "stormtrooper" looking as possible. Black and White with only hints of the orange accents. I don't know if I'll leave the default tremor logo or pick up one of the black versions from VIP.

This is the main reason I haven't done too much to mine as of yet. I don't know how much black is too much, too little, etc. I also really like the rebel and that look, ut the sublties of ours (especially the white ones) makes a big difference to me.

I added the black with orange outline to the f150 on the tailgate feom VIP and that little bit made a huge difference so it made me second guess black flares. Especially if I get black wheels. Add black bumpers and a dark tint...idk if it would be too much or look slick.

Black fender flares will look like an obvious add on in my opinion. These trucks in white, all tinted out with the black wheels look pretty close to a storm trooper.
Maybe matte black tailgate letters?

I was torn (still am) between white and silver and ended up going silver. If I had gotten white I thought a ppf in black of the a-pillars and roof would look good. Something like the picture below. Ignore the fact that this one has black flares as well.

See.....I think it can go either way. He was talking about one on here that had them and a black bumper, so I went and found it.

I think this and the one you posted look very different in that regard. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. When I see stuff like this it makes me so indecisive 🙃

EDIT: Added a second photo for easier viewing

Yeah this is the pics that made me think about black bumpers. I don't like the botls on the fender flares though, but could dig it otherwise. Not in love with the black roof on the raptor tho.

I 100% agree with the bolts and the fact you can't get them black to me is so unfortunate. The other thing I really can't decide on is all black k wheels or like bronze ones. On this I feel like black is an obvious choice (personal opinion) but less black I feel like bronze could work with the white and orange

I'm in the same boat. I have my flares coming on Friday and my plan is to take them out stick on temporarily duck tape or something to see if I like the black look, if not I will paint to match which I know looks good from others I've seen..

These look good in black imo

These look good painted imo

Which flares did you order, I know you said in another thread but idr. I'd be interested to see them mocked up either way.

The bushwhacker extend a fender flares. They are in both videos. The black injection molded is way they come, the others were painted to match.

Really? The flares in the lead foot video don't look the same as the other. The top definitely look like the extend A flares, but the bottom look way more like the xenon IMO; it just doesn't seem to stick out as much.

I believe you are correct, I mixed up my leadfoot grey videos. These are the painted to match, look sharp imo!

I have a white tremor lost in ford world and coming soon.(i hope)
I purchased an are cap painted to match. I am nervous is going to be to much white as well.
I like the look of the dark bronze wheels and think i am going to go with those. But not sure what to do to help break up the white above
What are the thoughts on an old school pinstripe with the black and tremor orange?

That does look good! Personal opinion here, but the extend a flares look better painted due to their size. I feel like they look purposeful when painted, but SOMETIMES look like an afterthought when black.

I think I like the bronze wheels too, but I think it looks better with white accessories. If you have black flares etc. like above I think the wheels should be black, personally.

Then we are left with what to break the white up with....the hood stripes were cool from above. As for the pinstripe, I think that could be cool if the right orange can be found, but keep in mind that's a polarizing opinion. People either love it or hate it in my experience lol.

Which is why I wish those caliper covers feom the other thread could be done in our orange. Then black or even bronze wheels with that behind them would be sick.

I'm going to wait for the Xenon's to be ready for the 2021+ for fender flares. They aren't as chonky as the bushwackers. Leaning towards leaving them black.

This was posted by another member. Supposed to be for ours, now I emailed xenon and they said they would put me on a wait list...never got an email they were available. So I'm not 100% sure.

Huh interesting. Maybe they do fit and they simply haven't updated their site? I've run into that a lot when you see "Fits 2015-2020 F150" and then after inquiring about the 2021+ model they go "Oh yeah, they fit, we just haven't updated the website yet." Guys, I want to give you my money. Make it easier!

Right, but the part that made me nervous was they said they were getting the tooling together for them. Not that they fit, but they were going to be making them.
