I’m doing some market research with my manufacturing company on what a new Tremor-specific front end replacement needs to look like. I have my own ideas as a Tremor owner, but want to poll the group to get more data points. The more helpful responses I get, the more likely a product will come to market!

Baja style bumper that still allows the use and integration of the factory foglights would be cool. I have a design idea in my head however I have not put it to paper.
 
Must have winch capability, without losing sensors, cruise, camera.

Retaining factory fogs is a very nice to have (I like OEM, don't wanna replace with aftermarket doo dads)

Other than that, I'm not a fan of the "my buddy welded these tubes in his garage" style. Something with more substance, shape, style, and craftsmanship is required to win my wallet.
 
The only reason I'd want to keep the factory fogs, which are pathetic, is for the cornering light option with the adaptive headlights. I most definitely would like to be able to add auxiliary spot/flood/fog lights to the bumper. The ability to add a winch would be awesome. Lastly, the bumper needs to be compatible with the distance sensors, cameras, and airbag sensors. If the bumper either retains current approach clearance of improves clearance, that would be great; it should not make it worse than stock.

I like the way the DRL lines of the fogs match to the headlights as well. And agree with above, functionally needs to add to the truck, and not take away things.
 
Thanks for the feedback so far - aligns mostly with my own opinion. I tend to favor the bullnose feature to add some Grill protection but not completely cover the front of our trucks.

Critter protection is very high on my priority list. Elk...black bears....deer....

Don’t want to thread jack but this caught my eye. What is the relationship between the cornering headlights and OEM fogs?

If you do not have the fogs selected to ON... the lamp on the side you turn towards will illuminate when you turn the steering wheel. Cornering light. Used to see it on Cadillacs a lot
 
Another winch capable, sensor preserving vote here. Improved approach is a given, hopefully. On aesthetics, I like the Baja style but not sure it’s the most marketable for the Tremor. Maybe I’m wrong.

My ideal bumper would appear as low profile and complementary of factory body lines as possible. An aftermarket winch capable bumper is a pricey ordeal for us 3.5 owners and I’d prefer not to wince when I look at one. Not naming names but I can’t say that of our best options right now.

All great points. Seems like the winch capability is a common thread right now.
 
Yeah I see what you mean about you wanting a grill guard too. You wouldn’t be able to retain factory fog lights though with that specific model. Something like a Ranch Hand allows you to keep the factory fog lights…but also making the fog light inserts removable is appealing to me personally.

I like what others are saying above, especially factory fogs and keeping the sensors, I would design it with keeping in mind not everyone wants a bull bar or hoop though, make that part a modular add on, serves two purposes to do that, you can easily add it, take it off to decrease weight off the front, and most of the time if a critter does get caught in thr cross hairs that is the part that receives most of the damage, so that would be a nice feature to just be able to replace that potion versus the whole bumper.

Increase the angle near the wheels while keeping in mind some like fender flares and how they might mate up with what's on the market. Air designs, red rock, and RC are popular models. Also the stock skid compatibility would be nice as well. Just throwing some things out there for the design portion so that if you do this you may be able to make a huge profit, one design but modular capabilities will save money, time and sale more.
 
To simplify what I mean by modular, the pic below where uprights start that supports the bull bar/ grill guard make that a modular section, have it so you can bolt in different designs of the bars or just put a piece in that follows the lines.

You bring a good point Faktor, weight is an issue. This thing does not need to be a brick but strong enough to handle some abuse.

Modular would be interesting. I’ve seen some bolt-on grill guards for Broncos, but I associate bolt on with lack of impact strength. Have you seen this yourself?

Not just bolt on but make the two bars insert into pockets on the bumper then bolt thru, when your not using a bull bar or grill guard you could have inserts that fit in there and replicate the lines like normal. Make it similar to how you insert a hitch, except use two bolts that can also be used for light brackets or any various add-ons such as additional tie downs or anchors.
 
I realize in design this might complicate things some but it allows one bumper to be used and modified by the owner how they wish for it and keeps you with one bumper design but allows you to be able to design different styles of bull bars, grill guards, etc. If your company can do manufacturing you could even offer a custom option for them to design their own style of bull bar or grill with this capability. Of course a premium price for that option. Also it could give the option for someone to mount a winch outside when they are going offroad and might need it vs mall crawling and don't want the extra weight up front. I would go with that option in a heartbeat, slide the winch down into the slots bolt it in and connect the cables when needed, carry it in the bed till you know you may need it. Just thoughts for you to make one design but many configurations to appeal to everyone. If you did it I can almost guarantee if the quality is there it will not only revolutionize the market but be the top seller.
