For those of you with the 402a package, did it include the bumper step?
Just noticed mine doesn’t have one. My dealer swears it’s an option, but I find it ridiculous if the $12,000 package that includes bed utility package, and pro access tailgate package doesn’t come with the step to help utilize those features.
Is it really an add on?

Nope, mine did not

I just picked up my Tremor with the 402a package….no step!

I ordered a new 402a last month and the rear step is definitely an option/additional cost.

I paid about $400 extra to get the step when I ordered my '25.
Honestly, I don't use it much.
Also, I think you can get an aftermarket one for less.

I will say that, even at 400, that step is a worthwhile option. The higher stance of the Tremor really makes that bed difficult to climb into and especially to reach over/into. Didn't think I'd use mine much, but in the past year, if I remember its there, I use it. My old 2011 XLT didn't have one and while it may have been nice, I don't know that it would have been as useful.

The option is for either the Proaccess tailgate or the tailgate with the integrated pull-out step. Can't get both. Aftermarket options are limited due to the twin tailpipes. There are some that fit into the hitch receiver, but not a great option to leave in all the time. Throwing in a 2-3 step folding stepstool is where I've landed.

Mine didn’t have it. When I first got the truck I almost ordered one right away, it’s about $400. But after owning the truck for a while it hasn’t been too bad of a step onto the bumper and into the bed. Not bad enough for me to spend the $400 plus tax and shipping.

I wish Ford had the corner in bumper steps like the Chevy's

Just step on the rear tire. At least that is my cheap option.

I bought the WeatherTech step that fits into the hitch receiver. Their store is about an hour away from me in Broomfield, CO so it’s handy if I need to go to Denver for some reason.
I was looking at the AMP Bumper step but it isn’t compatible with the dual exhaust on the Tremors.

I'd prefer to have an integrated option rather than leaving something like that in the bed full time.

That's what I've been doing with mine.

The Super Duty trucks do, but the F-150's do not. I wish they had it as well. It's a simple solution to an almost universal problem with these trucks.

I agree and I'll probably just buy the factory one for my truck.

They are amp steps I put one on my 15 years ago if you want one it's probably cheaper to get it from their website instead of Ford

I bought the off-brand unit from Amazon. Direct rip-off of the Ford unit but only cost $125. Same brackets, same mounting, and same operation. I've had it about 6 months and no problems so far.

It says its not for a drop tailgate but I still think it makes getting into the bed easier. Especially if you just need to reach over or climb all the way in. I just used my trailer hitch to do that an hour ago and while that works, its not ideal.

A tailgate step would be better, but I don't have one.

Yea that’s misleading. All tailgates drop, but specifically this is meant for the pro access so you can step up before stepping in. You just can’t use it with the tailgate down because it doesn’t stick out that far.

The Ford step is the same “not for a drop [only] tailgate.”
