Exhaust hanger weld failed at 64k miles

So I look at my truck and I’m like damn that one pipe tip is definitely lower than the other…. Get under it. Yep. The weld from the pipe to the stick broke clean off. No rust or anything just a really really weak thin weld.

Now I could take it to a muffler shop and have it fixed in 5 mins but I’m gonna be that guy and take it to Ford and make them do it because I want my moneys worth out of my extended warranty….

Stay tuned to see if they want to deny work because the mid pipes are not oem…

Damn! Haven't heard of that happening since the early 90s lol.

Totally get getting your money out of it. Hopefully they can get you in and out quickly!

Unless you have a Ford backed ESP, I have a feeling that your Ford dealer will say that you’re going to have to go to an exhaust shop and pay for it yourself.
