So I'm in my middle age now, hurts to say, and my days of wanting the loudest most bad ass (in my own mind) obnoxious truck are long gone. However, the stock exhaust is pretty much silent even when you drop the skinny pedal ...

Looking at the Borla S-Type still, but just worried I'd regret it on Sunday morning or on long highway drives, which I do frequently.

Has anyone regretted putting on the Borla S-Type, or any other exhaust? Pic for attention

I have the flow master fx exhaust and it’s pretty mild because I’m in the same mindset and age… I have been thinking about putting the stock muffler back on…

Did a Resonator Delete on my ‘23 with the 3.5. It’s slightly louder with no resonance even when towing. I’m on the north side of 60!
Sounds better, but not like a ricer or obnoxious. Not quite as good as my ‘19 Raptor, but I like the sound.

Resonator delete or muffler delete? I'd think most folks would delete the muffler but keep the resonator for tone ...

.....and i pulled the trigger on the S-Type. Wish me luck, lads!

Resonator Delete. There are some other threads that talk about both. The V8 may be better to do the opposite. But I’m sure it would be loud!

Totally interested in this as well. Just gotta wait for the government to open back up so I can get paid. This furlough stuff sucks... I have been wanting the S-type amd would love to hear some sound clips when you get yours installed

Although a great price... Borla is never on sale....I would be VERY careful on a brand new car parts site... not a single review on any product listed

That's what Amex and using a virtual card is for.

Good catch though. I actually didn't even think of that at the time.

Did some quick research so my paranoia doesn't get me, looks like they are a small time racing shop and all the stuff on their site is very likely drop shipped. I don't have a problem with that. If they wanna violate Borla minimum advertised price, that's not my concern. The address they posted does show an actual farm with a shop and a truck with their logo on it, and there's a few pictures on some of the pages with some race cars, and that same truck.

If it's a scam, well they won't get far with a virtual card number and the main charge I can just resolve with Amex. Smart for everyone to be aware of any "too good to be true" prices online... Though 100 bucks off I wouldn't really consider to be that big of a hook for a scam, I could be wrong.

Lol I'll be keeping the OEM parts for sure. No one really complains about Raptor sounds from what I see online, other than V8 purists. Certainly on the road I've never been all "that raptor sure does sound lame"

I also went with the flow FX for two reasons. One- is it was a good bit cheaper than the other options, so I’m not out as much if I didn’t care for the sound. Two- it sounded pretty mild in the videos I found. In my opinion it is perfect for getting a little more sound on cold starts and heavy throttle with no drone and no sound at all while cruising on the interstate. That being said it’s still the 3.5, so as long as you know it’s not going to sound like a v8 going into it I think you’d be happy with it.

Dude. you are like private Investigator material. I was just going to run the URL through some of those scam alert sites.. Saving 100 bucks is awesome... Looking forward to the results.

It doesn't sound bad at all.. nice choice!

I think the S Type sounds really good

Why are you considering going back to stock?

I am having a huge problem with my stock resonator at cold start up.. It has this crazy knocking sound for about 20 seconds then it clears up- but I absolutely hate it. I have considered doing a resonator delete just to free me of the embarrassing start ups. There was another guy who got his replaced warranty but after a few months, it failed again. This is when I started to really consider a resonaror delete or go for the borla S-type and keep the stock tips. I love Country Slicker videos of Canada and his Borla sound great..

I am personally going to add the Corsa Performance Exhaust. I think it sounds great and have heard it on another truck with the Coyote.
