It was indeed a legit business, drop shipper. The parts are on a FedEx truck right now and will be here Saturday. Good looking out though. Thanks for the reminder for everyone!Although a great price... Borla is never on sale....I would be VERY careful on a brand new car parts site... not a single review on any product listed
Nice! Looking forward to your install. Are you going to try and get it done this weekend? It was indeed a legit business, drop shipper. The parts are on a FedEx truck right now and will be here Saturday. Good looking out though. Thanks for the reminder for everyone!
Have a lot going on, but if it gets here early in the day Saturday, I'm gonna try my best to talk the shop into getting it on this weekend.Nice! Looking forward to your install. Are you going to try and get it done this weekend?
I am in the same middle age boat . Love my Borla S type (kept my black dual tailpipes) and it is the perfect medium exhaust that sounds great! The loudness is there if you get on it, and just a little drone (almost unnoticeable) at highway cruising speed! This is a great exhaust and is as close as you will get to having the best of both worlds. So I'm in my middle age now, hurts to say, and my days of wanting the loudest most bad ass (in my own mind) obnoxious truck are long gone. However, the stock exhaust is pretty much silent even when you drop the skinny pedal ...
Looking at the Borla S-Type still, but just worried I'd regret it on Sunday morning or on long highway drives, which I do frequently.
Has anyone regretted putting on the Borla S-Type, or any other exhaust? Pic for attention

Awesome good to hear. It showed up super quick and will be going on Friday... Had a out of town trip before could get it to the shop.I am in the same middle age boat . It's just a few bolts, crawl up under that bad boy and save your self some cash.Awesome good to hear. It showed up super quick and will be going on Friday... Had a out of town trip before could get it to the shop.
Had the same issue, and read many similar reports, so I did the resonator delete, and honestly I couldn't really tell a difference in sound, especially in the cab.I am having a huge problem with my stock resonator at cold start up.. It has this crazy knocking sound for about 20 seconds then it clears up- but I absolutely hate it. I have considered doing a resonator delete just to free me of the embarrassing start ups. There was another guy who got his replaced warranty but after a few months, it failed again.
So I put an AWE cat back on my 2020 Ram Laramie 5.7. It sounded great, a low growl like the charger scat pack. I loved it for about a month, even though it had the least amount of cab drone, it was still loud on long trips, I regretted it as I’m at the age I’m not trying to be the cool guy with the loud tumbling truck that screams douche bag over hereSo I'm in my middle age now, hurts to say, and my days of wanting the loudest most bad ass (in my own mind) obnoxious truck are long gone. PITA level on scale of 1 to 5?It's just a few bolts, crawl up under that bad boy and save your self some cash.
I watched the shop put mine on. Could I have done it myself? Yes. But PITA level is probably 4 out of 5PITA level on scale of 1 to 5?
Thats where im at. Pay a shop with a lift for 1 hour of labor, or me crawl around, fuck it up, realize i dont have a socket i need, have to reassemble to drive to the store.... etc.I watched the shop put mine on. Could I have done it myself? Yes. But PITA level is probably 4 out of 5
I've had the Borla S-Type for over 2 years. Really nice cold start and zero drone. I, like you, didn't want anything loud and I think this exhaust is perfect. So I'm in my middle age now, hurts to say, and my days of wanting the loudest most bad ass (in my own mind) obnoxious truck are long gone. However, the stock exhaust is pretty much silent even when you drop the skinny pedal ...
