Has anyone regretting installing an exhaust?

Isn't the Borla Muffler just another resonator? No baffling in the center? I've been toying idea around to replace oem muffler with an aftermarket resonator. Ideas/ thoughts anyone?
The S Type has a resonator and a muffler.. I have considered just doing a resonator delete of the stock system to get rid of the crazy ticking at warm up. I am working a possible Ambassador/ sponsorship with AWE and Borla at the moment. We will see how that goes..

No.

Just added the Borla Atak. Super happy with the way it sounds and very easy to install. I went with just the midsection as I wanted to keep the stock exhaust tips.

😂…..If you have close neighbors, I’m sure they’re going to just love you especially in the mornings.

Well- Just pulled the trigger on purchasing the Borla S-Type Mid Pipe. My current OEM set up has a very annoying ticking, chatter coming from the Resonator and I considered just doing a resonator delete as a first step to correct the issue but I have always had some sort of exhaust on my vehicles. I got the Moditis bug everyone elseon this forum seems to have.

Thanks Texas Tea for point me to Weir Racing. They are still showing it at $790 no tax or shipping- so that saves $100 bucks plus compared to all of the other sites. I couldn't justify ordering the tail pipe kit for an extra $1035, especially after reading a response from a Borla representative on the Raptor Forum. He stated "If you choose to go with the borla branded system you will see the vast majority of the sound improvement from the mid muffler section with only a small change from the tailpipes. The primary reason to purchase the tailpipes is the for the heat shielding and the tips." Those must be some really nice tips!!

I was stuck looking at Corsa, AWE OfG non resonated, and the Borla S Type- They all sound fairly similar and my biggest issue was not hearing any of them in person. I know I don't have the beautiful sounds of the V8 to look forward too but I really am okay with the performance sounding ecoboost. I looked at the Ford Performance mid pipe kit as well, and sure enough it is made by Borla- only difference is I believe it is a 2.75 inch system and not a full 3 inch system like the S type.

In the past I had a 1998 Chevy C1500 with the 4.3L and a 50 series Flowmaster and it was throaty and sounded pretty good. I also have an American Thunder Flowmaster HP2 on my Ripp Supercharged Jeep Wrangler 3.8L and get compliments on how it sounds all the time.

Anyways- I will be installing this myself and will post a video shortly thereafter. I have a little Christmas cash left over and alread considering the next upgrade. I did a drop in high flow air filter so I don't know if going with the S&B CAI is worth the investment. I am probably going to look at the intercooler and BOV next and then finish it off with a set of colder spark plugs and an MPT tune. Stay tuned for some install and sound clips to follow.

Sadie is posting guard! FEDEX just delivered the Borla system!

NO REGRETS! I believe the S Type is the perfect fit for the 3.5L It is a perfect balance of aggressive when needed and subtle when cruising. NO Drone and peaceful in the cab- SPORT Mode is a lot of fun and from an outside observance - the Truck sounds excellent when ripping through the wooded fire roads. I have the install video linked for those that are interested- Sound clips start around the 13:00 mark for those who want to skip to the good stuff and not interested in the wrenching.

Outstanding. Glad you are satisfied with your choice.

Also it looks GREAT with the borla s type stamping showing on the pipe in front of the pax rear wheel well, just a peek for those who are peeking you know?

Also also GO SEAHAWKS

Borla makes a great exhaust system. This time around I went for the Corsa Extreme. Yes, it's loud when you want it to be and on cold start. But there is NO DRONE on the 5.0 with their system or the blonde wouldn't be happy. And, yes, she hates it (or pretends to) when I'm in SPORT mode and slammin the go-pedal. But otherwise it's easy to live with. Sounds more robust but not obnoxious when idling or during 'normal' driving. And it sounds like V8 heaven when you're feelin sporty. Would buy/install (a breeze but time-consuming) again.
