Hey y’all

I have a Petco emblem that I am planning on installing on the front of my truck. I’ve seen that I don’t need to remove the grill to get the old one off and the new one installed.

How hard is the wiring? Is it going to take a while or is it a quick job? Just wanna plan my timing appropriately.

I just installed mine a couple of weeks ago. Very first video I saw consisted of removing the entire grill. Then I read about a couple of folks just sticking their hands through the grill. Now, I’m not a big guy….so, I don’t have real big hands. I did not see how I would be able to do it without removing the grill…it’s just too tight.

So, I removed the grill. It was not hard at all. Make sure you do it on a warm day. If it’s a cold day, the plastic around the lights that you have to pull off “could” break. If it’s warm, it’ll take a lot to break it. Anyway, just take your time…it was worth removing the grill so that I could see everything. Took me a couple of hours total.

Just my .02 cents. LOL

I was able to get mine installed without removing the grill. Very easy to do. I’ve got the wiring run, but I can’t find the fuse location that I’m supposed to put the add-a-fuse into. It says fuse 18. Where the heck is that?

IIRC: The fuse 18 was changed and Putco never updated the instructions.
I hooked mine up to the #6 outfitter switch.
I also was able to install mine without removing the grill.

Details are buried somewhere in this thread:

Ahhh…I see you don’t have a 24+. I think your grill openings are bigger. Good for you.

Did you look in your owner’s manual for the fuse box? That’s where I found mine.
