This should help some.

I used the inverter in the bed to charge a portable refrigerator/cooler (Dometic style). This was very inefficient as I’m effectively running a 2kW generator to power a wall brick that covers it back to 12V for the fridge. But, I only had room for the fridge in the bed and there’s no 12V rail back there to tire to. It ran like this for a cross country road trip, 54 hours/2500 miles. Ran fine no issues, though on the first day it smelled like hot electronics under the car. Smell went away eventually, perhaps it was getting broken in…

Has anybody opened these? What’s in them? Assuming it’s the 2kW inverter on the driver side, and some sort of additional battery/electronics for the pro power system on the passenger?
