Technical Service Bulletin · TSB 26-2442

This is a Technical Service Bulletin, not a recall. A TSB tells dealers how to diagnose and repair a specific symptom when a truck comes in with it. It doesn't mean every truck listed has the problem, and it doesn't by itself make the repair free -- coverage depends on your warranty and the dealer's diagnosis.

Published: Oct 14, 2026
Applies to: F-150 (2021–2025 model years)

Restrictions stated in the source:
  • Equipment: equipped with SYNC4

Also listed in the source (outside this forum's coverage): Bronco 2021–2025, Bronco Sport 2025, Edge 2021–2024, Escape 2023–2026, Expedition 2022–2024, F-250 SD 2023–2026, F-350 SD 2023–2026, F-450 SD 2023–2026, F-550 SD 2023–2026, Maverick 2025, Mustang 2024–2025, Mustang GTD 2025–2026 and 3 more

Summary (official text)

This bulletin supersedes 26-2297. Reason for update: Add 2022-2025 Transit vehicles. Some of the vehicles listed in the model statement above equipped with SYNC4 may experience a blank center display screen or black center display screen after welcome animation. The rear-view camera will still function when shifting the vehicle to reverse under these conditions.

Supersedes: TSB 26-2297
