That power tailgate and lockable storage is 47 pounds. With them being the only difference in our trucks.Haven’t seen any updates here for awhile.
402a, Torsen, Lockable Storage, trailer tow, and Bed utility. The power tailgate is heavy. Also adding a bed liner and Bakflip tonneau so I’ll lose another 100 lbs.
A little old but figured I’d add my experience for anyone searching. I am running a 6” drop on a 2.5” RC level and it’s way too much when the truck is loaded. The calcs for drop were done while the truck was unloaded. I’m going to get an adjustable to fine tune things.I wouldn't go with that big of a drop unless you are really lifting your truck. A 4" drop is more than enough on my Raptor with a 1.5" lifted rear end on 35" tires. I run a small utility trailer, boat trailer and a flat bed trailer and never needed to drop if down more than half to get the trailer level. You'll just have a huge shank hanging down that can be problematic on steep driveways.
As far a tongue weight, it's more of a nice to have with static loads like the boat. You literally have no way to adjust to load bias. If you have cargo trailers, they can be useful to help ensure you have the right load balance.
It really comes down to your trailer. I have the 5" B&W 3 ball hitch and it works great for both my two boat trailers and my small utility trailer. Fully adjustable obviously though.A little old but figured I’d add my experience for anyone searching. I am running a 6” drop on a 2.5” RC level and it’s way too much when the truck is loaded. Also was wondering if anyone could comment on me using max payload with my existing level kit. I have concrete to pickup and was a bit concerned.
Previously towed 1000# payload plus 6x12 utility trailer with a small load (not sure on tongue wt) no issue.
The only thing I would recommend to stop the squat would be RAS or airbags, they both add support to the rear end the RAS also offers better stability as well.A little old but figured I’d add my experience for anyone searching.
