Technical Service Bulletin · TSB 26-2408

Updated Oct 25, 2026: Summary, documents added (details)

This is a Technical Service Bulletin, not a recall. A TSB tells dealers how to diagnose and repair a specific symptom when a truck comes in with it. It doesn't mean every truck listed has the problem, and it doesn't by itself make the repair free -- coverage depends on your warranty and the dealer's diagnosis.

Published: Sep 22, 2026
Applies to: F-150 (2022–2024 model years)

Restrictions stated in the source:
  • Transmission: 10R80

Thanks for posting this. My truck is impacted - I have the harsh downshifts (skip shifts), however, it's intermittant and seems to go away after resetting the adaptive tables. I would love a warranty-supported tune that eliminates skip shifting. My opinion is that this 'fix' can only be concluded after 10,000 miles. I'd love to hear someone's long-term testimonial after having the TSB performed.

I have this problem, feels like Im getting my back bumper tapped at times and others just feel like I’ve been rear ended. I’ve had it shift down so bad before that the passenger asked me “what was that?!” And started looking around like we just got in an accident.
To boot, I’ve had the tranny rebuilt under warranty and it was fine for about 300 miles and now it is worse than it ever was before. Actually excited to be selling it because I loathe driving it now.
