Technical Service Bulletin · TSB 26-2436
This is a Technical Service Bulletin, not a recall. A TSB tells dealers how to diagnose and repair a specific symptom when a truck comes in with it. It doesn't mean every truck listed has the problem, and it doesn't by itself make the repair free -- coverage depends on your warranty and the dealer's diagnosis.
Published: Oct 30, 2026
Applies to: F-150 (2023–2025 model years)
Details from NHTSA as of Nov 4, 2026. If NHTSA or Ford revises this notice, this post is updated and significant changes are noted in a reply. The linked documents are the authority, and a dealer can confirm whether it applies to your VIN.
Have you experienced this issue with your truck? Let us know your model year and engine, plus any diagnosis or repair details.

Summary (official text)
Some of the vehicles listed in the Model statement above may have diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P05B0 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM) during a self-test. An illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) will be present on 2024-2025 vehicles with DTC P05B0 stored in the PCM. This may be due to a damaged lower active grill shutter housing end stops and/or vane lobe (allowing for over travel) or a lower active grill shutter actuator.
