So which tire have you been running? What did it do to mileage?Yes they are using the sidewall that is on the Wildpeak Mt and RT01 now because it's a true 3 ply vs the AT3W which by spec only had a 2 ply, yet what most don't know is that the heat diffuser technology that Falken uses is done partially by taking those 2 plys and doubling them back up the sidewall to the edge of the side biters, which basically gives you a 4ply sidewall on the lower portion. They made the AT4W to address everyone's complaint of it being specked as a two ply. The AT3W were already heavier than the Toyo and Nitto tires and this adds about an additional pound to them but even being heavier it is still one of the best tires I have ever ran. We just had 6.5" of snow and ice and I have had zero issues getting around including a 25 mile drive to work through the worst of it before they had ever started clearing the roads. That's why I will keep running them till they either make something better or my needs change.
I put Recons on my 2019 F150. They were great in the beginning. After some wear, they were typical Nittos, not good on wet pavement. The stock grabbers on my '23 Tremor are much better. Time will tell.how do the recons compare to the GT Grabbers (which I think are decent and 3P rated).
Falken Wildpeak At3w, on my third set, first on this truck, the first set I ran I got 62k out of, the second set I got 69k out of the first was original tire size for that truck and was SL with much less tread depth, the second set was e rated and had a much deeper tread depth, that's why the difference in the mileage, both sets worked extremely well in everything but clay mud, in clay you had to spin the tires to clear them out. On snow and ice I haven't found a tire I like better, the stock generals are pretty good in those conditions but I have better traction with the AT3W, of course this is going to vary from user to user on their opinion but there are tons of great reviews and tests that verify the same.So which tire have you been running? I just ordered the same tire in a 35x12.5x18, I do have a 2'' lift in the front.Falken Wildpeak At3w, on my third set, first on this truck, the first set I ran I got 62k out of, the second set I got 69k out of the first was original tire size for that truck and was SL with much less tread depth, the second set was e rated and had a much deeper tread depth, that's why the difference in the mileage, both sets worked extremely well in everything but clay mud, in clay you had to spin the tires to clear them out. Oh and as for mpg, well that went down between .7-1 mpg, it's hard for me to say exactly right now because they had just switched to the winter blend of fuel which I lose about .5 mpg with it vs summer, I couldn't believe the different blends changed the mpg that much but they have.So which tire have you been running? I have ordered the exact tire for my Tremor. Hoping it's a good decision. Went with it due to it being slightly larger than stock, but with not so much weight gain. I have a 2 inch level so I perceive no issues.Had the Nitto Recon Grapplers installed a few days ago. 295/70/18 SL only rub slightly on weather tech front mudfllap , only on passenger side, in a tight turn into a driveway. Will grind some mudflap away when it warms up. Ride and cornering is improved. Thanks FaKtor34 for the info.
Any issues running 12.5 with the 2.0"? I'm assuming these are super heavy...I just ordered the same tire in a 35x12.5x18, I do have a 2'' lift in the front.

Did you get the SL rated? Here's a few pix.
Yes, I bought the SL rated tires. No regrets so far. As you said only SL tires in 34" available. Years ago they used to offer many more light truck tire sizes in the C rating. Guess the tire companies didn't want to bear the extra cost of offering different ply rated tires. Seems like most light truck tires are E rated.Did you get the SL rated?
How do you like them after a few months. Only SL tire I can find in 34”
Thanks. I’m thinking of switching. Currently running Raptor takeoffs now for the 3rd time. Had on my 2016 and 2018 f150 and they were tucked under the wheel well. Just guessing but maybe the tremor had a wider stance?? Regardless they stick out about 1/2” at the top.Yes, I bought the SL rated tires. No regrets so far. Have you tried them in the snow? It seems like people have had issues in the snow and wet pavement.Yes, I bought the SL rated tires. No regrets so far. As you said only SL tires in 34" available. Was only able to run them in about 3" of snow once. They seem okay in that bit of snow, no issues in the rain. Seen comments that they're questionable in rain after they wear down some. Question is how much wear are they referring to. They do have a comfortable ride on pavement compared to the original Generals.Have you tried them in the snow? Mine have about 2.5/32 of tread worn away, and have lost noticeable traction on wet pavement. Was talking to a buddy this am, and he mentioned that after about the outer 2/32 of an AT tire, you start getting into harder compound, thus less wet traction? Have never read that, but stacks up with current Recon experience, and sounds about right with prior tires. Keep in mind, the E rated starts with 16/32 on Recon, versus 13/32 (?) for the SL.Was only able to run them in about 3" of snow once. They seem okay in that bit of snow, no issues in the rain.
