Add OEM bed lighting to 2022

Working on a simple solution to add bed lighting. Baja Designs dome light, has a built in button to power on/off and is very well built. $67

They also have the same light without the button. Thought about doing one on each side and then getting the Ford switch that goes in the bed to turn them on/off but decided to do the single one for now.

So Ford updated the 2022
Build site.

Stills says bed lighting is included on the high package. Ughhhh.
I’m going to hit my local dealer up and see if they will add it as a missing part from the factory.

They also detail out the tow package.
Looks like the $1000 gets you an extra connector. Lol

401 has halogen tail lights.

@TxT If you try to add the bed lighting it tells you have to get the bed utility package. Man I wish I had know that. 700 bucks for the step, lights, and box link isn't a bad deal.

Yes I wanted the lights and decided to get the package when I ordered. You get the step, lights, box link and power tailgate.

In hindsight , I would have ordered the package too!
Mine had the plates for the box link installed but not the locking hook part. At least that was easy, grabbed a set off Amazon and took 90 seconds to add.

I bought mine off the dealers lot, whoever ordered it didn’t order the bed light kit or the bed step. I’m going to use the starkey products bed light kit. Don’t know what to do about the bed step, any suggestion?

No switch in the bed on the starky lights is a deal breaker for me. I think that's my only use case actually. I'm still holding out for hope on an OEM install.

No experience with this but it looks nice. Saw one at the linex place when I had that done. I was thinking of going that direction.

I would like a button for the light also I’m sure I could wire one in but the lights will come on when the remote unlock or when the zone lighting comes on according to Starkey. I looked into the bumper bed step but none will work with the tremor due to the dual exhaust.

Solder them up and run a wire up to the passenger footwell fuse panel and done!

Yes! Worked great. About $75 for the cables and $25 for the lights. Enabling it on forscan was easy as well.
