+20Great looking truck. I'm thinking of going with the new Nitto Recons 295/70/18 with a 2" Ready lift spacer and Fuel Rebel 18" wheel of course. The Fuel Rebel wheel comes with a +1, +20 and -12 offset. Any idea which combo would be best to achieve no rubbing or trimming?
The +20 will provide the most clearance
I have done both types of washes on the Tremor. I have had fairly good luck with the automatic car washes - but ONLY the touchless variety. You cannot beat the results, however, of a good hand washing of the Tremor. I certainly prefer washing the truck by hand for the best results..........Quick question for all the Agate Black owners. Are you running your truck through automatic car washes, or are you washing by hand every time? I fear we're about to go into water restriction levels around here soon, and washing by hand at home won't be possible.
My concern is the scratching (swirling) a brushed car wash may cause. I'm not a wax every weekend kind of guy, and I can tolerate some swirling on the paint, I just don't want to absolutely ruin the paint.I have done both types of washes on the Tremor. I ordered a black truck and ended up with a different color but have had 4 black trucks. Try and go through a touch less wash. They don't clean as good as a brushed wash but save some swirls. Use a waterless wash spray or spray detailer, micro fiber towels and hand wipe the truck down using the spray to help clean and lubricate the paint as you dry it. It works pretty good. That's what I would do in the winter when washing at home was not an option. Full ceramic and PPF are also a good choice for black. My concern is the scratching (swirling) a brushed car wash may cause. Full disclosure - I just like the looks of a black truck. I have one stone chip on the front of the truck which is noticeable to me. However, it still appears to be black underneath the chip, but you can feel it when washing the vehicle. Black seems to be harder to keep clean. One trip down a wet gravel road with make the truck look dirty when it dries..... still like the way it looks when cleaned up again however.considering a black or white tremor- currently have a carbonized gray lariat that never looks dirty. will black show every little stone that pops it on the roads/trails, or is the black paint holding up okay? dont want it to look 15 years old 3 years into ownership.
