New ‘26 402A with the factory aux upfitter switches. I have wired a light bar onto grille that works when you place power wire directly onto positive battery but needs to be connected to the up fitter wires by battery. Those wires currently do not show active with switches on and a test light test. Ford is telling me they have to hook up to it and turn them on? Seems different than what I have seen anywhere else. Any experience out there?

Which set of wires are you trying to hook up to; the ones under the hood or footwell?

Under the hood - not the footwell.

There are two sets of wires in there. One powered, one not. Either dig around with your hand or pull your battery for easier access. I believe the red taped one is the powered one but it's been a bit.

There are two set of wires under the hood...one wrapped in red and one wrapped in white. I believe you need to use the red set.

You and I posted the same answer at the same time. LOL

As stated above, my ‘23 also has 2 sets of wires under the hood with one powered and one not. Definitely hard to get to without removing the battery, but can be done.

Easier to just remove the battery, get to the wires and hook them up and then put the battery back in. Unless you have very tiny hands. LOL
