I’m not happy with the sound of the system. My Dodge and Subaru vehicles have stock HK systems that’s sound a lot better. The Unleashed is over rated and sounds like a base stereo to me. After 54 cars and trucks I have had worse and better but for a top end system it’s marketed as it’s disappointing. I wouldn’t get it again.

I think the main issue is Ford missed the mark for the target audience and i agree with you in that regard. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that most people buying F150s probably like classic rock/grunge/country/metal etc type of music.

The B&O Unleashed is designed as a surround sound system. None of those genres of music was recorded or produced/mixed/mastered to be in surround sound. and even then i made a couple adjustments to the stereo settings to make it sound good.

All my life ive listened to cheaper or self built stereo systems in cars and if you like classic rock/grunge/metal etc those genres all sound great on a simple system with a couple pairs of decent speakers and a good subwoofer (no complicated surround sound at all).

The Ford salespeople can actually go to Ford class to receive training on how to demo the “Unleashed” system. Ford provides them with a set of music files on a thumb drive that they insert into the usb port to demo the system. Based on the demo I heard before placing my order, I do think there is a focus on specific recordings that have a surround channel mix. Out of curiosity I’ll try to borrow the thumb drive and see what the tracks are.
