Bak x4s Can’t close tailgate?

I don't think there is anything wrong with your rails. They're supposed to overlap the tailgate a bit. A new rail will be straight just the same as what you have. I suspect the problem is with your tailgate sitting a bit high or the rails being clamped too tight/low to the bed rail.

Installed mine Sunday night. Driver's side was hitting the tailgate. It took some adjusting of the nearest rail bracket, but I got it to line up so that the tailgate closes.

Bak is sending new rails, will report back once swapped.

New rails arrived bit better not as long , still hand bend them with a crescent wrench. Happy overall with the cover.
