What's new

Beyond Ecstatic!

I'm not the one who posted about it but I think the general theory is that the ones with tow package have an added leaf spring or similar that jacks the rear end up a bit more. I think there was a thread somewhere on here where people were taking measurements and posting them of different trucks.
It does seem like some come from the factory with more rake than others and a tow package seems a logical reason to me.
Agreed the general theory is: tow package = more rake.

But now I am more confused than ever with what the tow package actually adds. Even though I called after the initial order to add the tow package the window sticker does not show I have it. Not really sure how to tell 100%.
At one point I heard the tow package gave a slightly upgraded radiator and a different spring pack. I have yet to look at the spring pack.
I’m not super bummed if I do t have the package as what I generally tow is a side by side. But I wanted to have the extra capacity as a “nice to have” or if I wanted to get a larger travel trailer in the future.

I wanted to post a few more pics due to requests and give my first impressions after 24 hours and 120 miles:

- I have the standard B&O after reading stories of its and the Unleashed's version inadequacy, I was not expecting much. However I was pleasantly surprised. Good base and volume. I am happy. ( disclaimer: I am no audiophile)
- I will have to get used to the trucks dimensions. It commands the road, but as with any new vehicle parking in tight spots takes some care until I learn it. The 360 cameras help.
- I have the front sensors! There has been a good amount of back and forth about who gets the sensors, Active or Assist, but my standard 402a got them. I really don’t care about them ether way, just thought it was interesting I had them.
- all this tech will take some time to master and bring myself up to speed on. There is so much on the truck that I have to learn. Example could not figure out the rain sensing wipers today. I’m sure it is something super easy just need to take time.
- the rake is not nearly as pronounced in person as it translates to photos. My plan has always been to level once a tremor specific product comes out. But even with the 4” rake I am totally comfortable waiting. It doesn’t look bad in person as it does in pics.
-Lastly and the BIG TAKEAWAY - just how nice the truck is Ford took the time to focus on detail and knocked it out of the park. So far no complaints.

Edit: one thing I missed- I (so far) don’t miss any of the features removed from 21 to 22.
- the temp on the knobs - without it, the look is a bit more premium and the display is on the large screen in line of sight. I think I prefer it this way.
- the non led license plate lamps. - these will be changed to led’s this weekend. Annoying but NBD.
- No ambient light in cup holders. Honestly have not drove at night. But typically have at least one water bottle with me. Don’t think I will miss them. If I do I can always ad them.

Looks awesome! I'm on the verge of placing my order. I was always between white and leadfoot, then Ford made that decision for me. Buuut, the more I see this color, the more I'm questioning my choice. Decisions decisions!

Yes, there’s a lot to become familiarized with. I think part of the fun has been the “discovery” process. I believe I just recorded 1,400 miles as I arrived home from work. This week, I’ve been utilizing the lane assist and adaptive cruise control on my way to-and-from work. Driving this truck is such a pleasure.

Like you, Stice1, the rake isn’t an issue IMHO. I don’t even think about it, beyond what I have read here.

Mine doesn't have the trailer package and the rake was still 4.5" before I took the rear blocks out. Before I got it I also assumed that the trailer package increased the rake.

Thanks. I'm not sure what any of that info means but hopefully it means progress! I only have BCE modules, no PCM.
I think that is all that ever populates but not sure. Everything is blank until it is being built or has been built from my understanding and this is the info on you trucks ecu I believe.

After what felt like an eternity I took delivery of the 2022 Tremor today. This thing is by far the nicest vehicle I have ever owned, and an absolute space ship compared to the 2013 Silverado I had.

I installed the Retrax Pro XR & Husky liners this evening once I got home.

Hope to schedule an appointment for window tint later his week. Once a Tremor specific leveling solution hits the market I will be all over it with a solid 4” rake (38.75 front, 42.75 rear)

I am very pleased with the stone gray but did not have much daylight to admire it.

Hey congratulations! Beautiful! I'm crossing my fingers but it's gonna be a bit yet. Looks great!! I might be the only one that likes the rake on a pickup truck (and I hate squat with trailers) so knowing the springs are softer I'm gonna leave her be with the rake!

EDIT: I just realized this is two months old but hey still.........congratulations!!!!!
