What's new

BlueCruise

My FORD app says I should get an update withing 24 hours, but never get an update after 24 hrs. But they are quick to cut off any subscription you don't pay for.

I’m not certain on this but I’m thinking BC and Sync4 are separate updates when referring to the Ford app and the screen showing software version.

This is what I was talking about and not BC update. :)

My Issue with blue cruise is they want me to pay a subscription, but they are not updating my truck to the new versions of blue cruise. I have had several conversations with ford saying it will update OTA but still have the original versions.
This was my same issue. On gen14 forums there's info to sideload the 1.4 update, a few Tremors have done it including myself. It is so much better to be honest - it took away any qualms I had with paying for it. BC 95% of my drive from NC to SFL., or daily to work and back.

Using the mach e bluecruise made me need to upgrade the truck because the difference is substantial.

Mine came with the blue cruise free trial for 3 months. I decided to try it on a 3 hour trip. Aside from it kicking off occasionally, it also kept telling me to put my hands on the wheel, even when they already were. I have to twitch the wheel to get the alert to turn off. Whats the point of hands free if it isnt really hands free? I stopped halfway there and shut the damn thing off. Definitely wont be subscribing to that POS!

If it was asking to put your hands on the wheel it was only in lane keeping assist. Full BC will show in front icon in the dash that says “hands free” and the screen will be blue. You also must be on a major interstate. Full BC is not available on every road so it will switch to non-hands free when it knows it not on a major interstate.

I cancelled my subscription and I can still let it keep it in the lane but it will do the same you describe, pop up a waning every 12 seconds or so if it doesn’t notice me moving the wheel for that time.
