CarPlay in the F-150

I solve this by not going anywhere with the wife. Life is better that way.
😂…. I Dare you to show what you wrote to your wife.
Would your life really be better afterwards?🤣

Did a factory reset this AM and also changed my "iPhones" name. Wireless CarPlay is now up and running consistently. Dealership just told me they would do nothing as this is a known problem, not connecting wirelessly. Worth a try if you have run out of options.

I drive past a certain spot in town often, CarPlay drops every time…very strange.

Maybe there are powers beyond the Tremor that are causing these issues?

I get the exact same thing in south Florida. It’s like i cross a county line and it drops. A few seconds later it returns.

For what it's worth, work installed a new gate at the garage exit, and it pegs my radar detector when I get near it. If I have to sit there to wait for the gate to roll up, Android Auto drops. Every time. If the gate's already up, I can get by without AA dropping. After I'm past the gate, I can bring the phone list back up and start up AA with no issues.

I assume wireless carplay is similar, so it could be radar interference or something else causing drops at the same locations.

Three months in and Carplay has worked fine for me, except after IOS 18 messed up Pandora. Or at least that's when it started.

I have the same issues and it seems to happen at the least convenient times. I have noticed it happening when my Iphone gets an update. Not long after that, either the truck or my phone gets another update and Im good for a couple months. There are certain roads that I lose connection every time in the same place. That kind of tells me it’s the phone as. Just guessing though.
