I'm about to tick over 60,000 miles and wondering if I should do the spark plugs. I already bought them, they're on the shelf. The manual says to change them for heavy duty/severe use, but that's not me. I drive mostly highway and back roads. I haven't even looked to see how difficult the job is.

i'd do em. i plan on doing mine at 30 but i drive like a dipshit. make sure the PNs are right - they changed em between 21 and 22 now theres some mid year 22+ thing where PN is SP-596 iirc

I just checked and they're SP-596's. Rock Auto got it right! I watched a youtube, looks super simple. Unbolt/unplug the coil packs and swap them out. I did splurge on a $15 1-piece socket/swivel/extension so I don't have to electric tape 3 tools together and hope nothing drops down in the holes.

I was just lookin em up cause im doing a bunch of shit at 30k so it was top of mind lol. Seems like stuffs mostly out of the way on these so with decent tools should be straight forward.

Yup, no reason not to. I've done spark plugs on way harder vehicles. I think the Triton 5.4L ford was by far the worst.

don't wait.. I just hit 20k miles and I did mine. running a tune and drive mine pretty hard, but I saw a noticeable difference. it even seemed to get rid of an odd trans shift/clunk I was getting intermittently. does run much smoother now.
