Hi all,
I am planning on getting a new 2027 Tremor with 402A + moonroof to have it imported to Europe and converted to an overlanding vehicle
Short story: I own now a modified Gladiator that has served me well across USA, Canada, North Africa and Europe. But I need a more comfy vehicle which will take me into farther unknown territories. RTT does not cut it anymore. I need a slide-in pop-up camper in which I can stay in 15F, a bit more comfort and a more pleasent highway ride to get to the destinations. Tremor with few mods is my top rig. The vehicle also needs to be registered in Spain and they are very rigorous about every component.
Yes, moonroof does not make a lot of sense for an overlander but I want it and it can work.
So my config is as follows:
70% highway and secondary roads
29% dirt tracks
1% or less rocky not technical climbs/descents
70% dry
27% snow (very little ice)
3% (I am pulling it out of my pocket) wet
I cannot get better EU certified tires than KO3 so no questions here
But my question are:
will this setup work well and (after some minor crashbar relocation) can I get ZERO tire rubbing?
can I do something better?
Most likely, these will be my last 10 years of overlanding so why not to make this setup nearly the best possible

- BedRug Classic Bed Mat for friction and cushioning for the camper
- HD RAS to stiffen rear end while camper is on
- 17X9 +18mm rims to accommodate 315/70R17 tires (large tire options in EU are very limited)
- LT315X70R17 with proper load rating (BF Goodrich AT KO3 is my only option at the moment in EU and I think I will be OK with them)
- Kings adjustable 2.5" (by AccuTune) front and rear to set things properly up for the highway and dirt roads travel, accommodate 35s and level the truck
- ICON Tubular UCAs with Delta Joint Pro to allow for best geometry setup
- about 340kg camper + the load.
- minor fender flares to make the poked out tires legal in EU
