Contemplating Cancelling

October 29, 21 order here. My truck is showing built awaiting shipment. My window sticker shows all features still on it.

I placed an order on my 402a AMB tremor on 03 Jan and have only gotten 2 emails so far, one confirming the order and the one from last week saying sorry for the delay. Pair that with the talks of features being stripped and more delays, I'm about ready to just cancel my order and wait to see what comes 2023.

My big concern now is the $1K I put down on the order. Do we have any leverage to get that refunded based on the delays and cut features?

I use to work for Dealerships. All have their own rules but you should not have a problem getting your deposit back. Especially if there was sort of an agreement on ETA options etc. Even if just verbal. Plus they probably won't have any problem selling that Tremor once it arrives. If it was a model or color that is hard to sell, they may try to hold you to that deposit.

I know it is tough to wait but I feel it is worth it if your heart is set on it. The market is a weird place lately. With what is going on with the world now, hard to say what the truck market will be in 2023. Maybe be better or worse. Hard to predict.

Before I got my Tremor I was looking at all the other trucks. I was so impatient and desperate as time went on. I was compromising on a lot of things. I almost got a Chevy Trailboss but a friend of mine called me to say they happen to have a Tremor just show up in inventory, on the way and not spoken for. Once I saw another one that came in earlier in person, I was sold. Looking back I was happy that I got the Tremor. I would regretted it if I had gone another route. I don't know what I was thinking lol.

Understand, I'm in the same boat. Ordered a 402A Stone Gray January 3rd and have received the same two emails.

I was originally going to go the Bronco route, reserved Oct. 1, 2020, ordered March, 2021 and when I found out it would probably be close to the end of 2023 before I got mine, changed to the F150 Tremor. I think the Tremor will be a better fit for me anyway. That Bronco rollout has been a monster cluster, no chips, bad roofs, other delays..... Just about every auto manufacturer is having the same issues. Folks are waiting months and still paying MSRP+.

The delays just let the aftermarket catch up with all the mods you want to do!

Same boat here. I have a July 2020 Bronco reservation I have been sitting on but after ordering and receiving my wife's 22 Aviator (loaded) I wanted moe luxury so I ordered a loaded Tremor. The Bronco, though cool, is more minimalist and I want comfort with capability and I believe the Tremor fills that nicely. Order the truck and of Jan with the same two emails you spoke of, just a waiting game at this point.

I just want mine to be 100%, not missing anything or poorly put together. When someone has to come out to a parking lot and finish putting your truck together does not bring me that warm fuzzy feeling. At work we received 2- 2022 GMC 3500 cab and chassis with the Duramax. The mechanics picked them up from the dealer and of course hot rodded them back to the shop. One lost all power just a block away from the dealership. Turbo not bolted to the exhaust pipes and not making boost. Second truck was banging and knocking like crazy. Engine mount bolts not in. Engine was torquing up and twisting inside the hood and frame. Broke some air conditioner parts from all the flexing. No one can explain it to us. They basically said it was impossible for them to come off the line missing these things. Or where they and they went to the parking lot for final assembly and it never happened. There was lots full of GM's waiting on parts. Supposedly chips, but who really knows how many parts and pieces are hard to get. Or just inexperienced employees or employees that don't care? They did through out vandalism or theft. Maybe someone needed the parts more than they did. No matter what is going on, I know my truck is in a parking lot. Not as exited as I use to be.

I know man. The wait and uncertainty is a killer. I waited 8 months with zero guarantees. Rest assured the first few months are the worst. There are hardly any communications until the truck starts getting built. Then it happens pretty fast.

At the end of the day, its your decision on if you want to cut bait or not. But if it were me, and I had to wait again id definitely do it. I freakin love this truck.



On a side note, its strange that you had to put money down on a special order. I didn’t put down a dime and got a guarantee of MSRP (it still makes me mad that I had to pay MSRP!) on pickup. I have ordered my last 3 vehicles from Ford and never put down anything. I would imagine that you are entitled to the whole 1000 back if you don’t want the truck anymore. Its not theirs and there was no real need for it in the first place. If you don’t take the truck you absolutely should get any money that you put down on it.
Did you sign anything when you put the money down? Im sure if you did there is language in there that lets you know whats up.

Literally same boat as me, dates, color and all. Same thing for me just the 2 emails.

I told myself if I can find a dealership to do x plan or I got an ECO/PCO I’d buy one off a lot.
Found the truck spec’d almost identical to my order and the 1 and only dealership (out of at least 25 I called) who would do x-plan; it sold 5 min before my phone call, go figure.

I’m fortunate-I ordered a ‘22 F250 last year and got it in October. Sold our boat so don’t need diesel. But it’s a decent consolation driving it while I wait. And it’s value just keeps going up with all the shortages.

Do whatever your sanity can take. I have been waiting 5 months already, Nov 4 order date, Jan 20 blend date, delivery date ??? I have a truck, I am fine, when the tremor gets to the dealer I will either buy it, or not. I have ordered several vehicles in the past and cancelled, most times you can get your deposit back, unless the dealer specifically stated that it is a non-refundable deposit…and even then you can ask, or maybe move the deposit to the purchase of a different vehicle from that dealer.

Here is the new Black Appearance Package on a Platinum. I could add the Torsen and have my messaging seats. I could probably find this truck on a lot or on its way. Before my truck leaves the field of forgotten Tremors.

Oct 09 order.i have thought of canceling my order but there is isn't much out there other than a xlt or a lariat which i would be paying more than the tremor so i am holding on hoping it shows up anyday now.

Just found a 2022 Platinum in Smoked Quartz. Fully loaded with the PowerBoost. Ordered 11/02/2022. Blend date of 02/21/2022 and built 03/16/2022. Still pending shipping to a local dealer near me. WTF?

If I could find a 37 at window sticker I would probably get it. Or even a TRX at sticker. The Tremor is just the perfect in between truck that would get used for its purpose.

I still have a 402 AMB order but was able to find a customer’s canceled order being delivered to a dealer in GA and was able to put a deposit down. Still no emails from ford on my original order, however, I only had to put a $500 deposit down and the original dealer has not given me any hassle about getting the money back when I do decide to cancel the order.

I saw somewhere that had started happening. Someone posted a conversation where someone who ordered after someone's else's original build date got theirs delivered first.

Ya, that might have been in my post on the Jan 10th build week. We are the complaining group that is on Chip hold.

Anyway, I posted a thread off Facebook that showed someone order Feb 2nd, and just took delivery April 2nd I think it was.

Oh well!
