Decal Tailgate Black

I cant decide between black with orange outline or orange with black outline. It is hard to tell how thick the border is.
 
I am leaning slightly towards the orange with black outline. Anyone that puts one on a AMB version, or any color, post pics! I'm not ordering anything else for my truck until I have mine.
 
Hey everyone!

Unfortunately we've made a bit of a blunder. The color match on the decals doesn't appear to be accurate to the orange on the grille & other emblems of the truck. When producing our first batch we did so by color matching the bedside decals, which we still believe to be a close match. We do however understand that many of you may have ordered under the pretense that the color would match the grille and emblems (which is 100% fair, Ford just unfortunately used two different oranges for the emblems and bedside decal).

That being said, we recognize this error, and if anyone that has ordered an inlay set from us is not satisfied with the color, give us a call or shoot us an email and we'll send a replacement color matched to the grille & emblems for free. We've got a Tremor in our shop right now that we're actively color matching the decals to, and any timeline questions or concerns we'd be happy to answer.

We'll likely be adding a second variant to our web store that denotes which color on the truck the decals are matching (one item where the orange matches the bedside decals, and another which matches the grille and emblems). Again we'd like to sincerely apologize as we all know how annoying it can be to receive something that wasn't up to expectations. We will do what is necessary to ensure no one is dissatisfied with their product! Thanks for your understanding, and we're grateful for the opportunity to make the situation right.
 
Photo for reference as to the color match of the bedside decals. The match is very close, but does not currently match the grille and accents (see post above).

@VIPAutoAccessories , thanks for the heads up! I just got mine out of the mailbox but unfortunately it ~10* outside right now so I’ll have to wait a little while to install them. They look great though and I’ll be sure to let you know if it need the updated color! For anyone wondering about the border, see the attached picture.These do still have the protective layer over the vinyl so that’s why they look hazey. I like ‘em and can’t wait to install!

Also, we appreciate the kind words! We're still a very small team and know how obnoxious it can be for companies to try and sell something but offer no after sales support!

Class act.

Although- TBH not sure why it's necessary to match the grill and tow hooks exactly. I think you were on the right track with the bedside emblem match... you would never see the tailgate and the front grill at the same time (unless your buddy's Tremor was parked right behind you...). My two cents. Applaud you for the communication @VIPAutoAccessories !!

I had domed letters on a couple tacomas and a couple of 150’s from a company called eyecatcher….. the reason I liked them was installation….. all the letters were connected by an application film so it literally took 30 seconds to install….. I wanted a domed thicker appearance vs a sticker…. But I can’t understand why but eyecatcher doesn’t make a 2021 tailgate emblem…. So I ordered a domed emblems from BD trim global cause they fit a 2021 and they’re domed in flat black @ 1/8 inch thick-not a sticker for 49.95….. the shield over the sticky on the back of the emblems does not peel off easily to place it….. the adhesive is messy and I still see white under a couple letters where the adhesive pull off when pulling shield….

Appreciate the kind words! We know our current orange is a solid match to the bedside decals, but our top priority is to make sure we don't sell something where people aren't satisfied with the color match since there's really 5 or so different shades of orange on the Tremor. Some of our team are pro-multiple color options based on what customers want the color to match, and some are pro-single color offering. We'll definetly at the least be offering them as a color match to the grille, tailgate emblem, and fender emblems!
 
I went with this one from Etsy (ordered before the VIP and orange conversation).. was just warm enough to put on. The rest of the truck is filthy, I know :(

Looks good, and trucks are supposed to be dirty!

Yeah same spot here it's mostly salt not dirt. The car wash is a nice 40 minute meditation 😁
