Have you tried ONR? It's a rinseless wash that works wonders. I'm a mobile detailer and that's what I stick with as I only need to pre rinse sometimes, and can skip right to the drying stage after a contact wash with ONR.
Otherwise I skip the foam and just go straight to a two bucket wash method with Meguair's Gold Class Shampoo. I keep Dirt Locks in both my rinse and wash bucket- these help agitate the soap and keep debris at the bottom of the bucket. I go panel by panel, top to bottom, and switch out my rag a few times in between. Have had very minimal swirls with both ONR and 2-bucket washing.
There may be some value in using foam before the contact wash as a pre wash. But personally I have seen minimal benefit in using a pre wash before the contact wash. And I find for contact washes, if I do foaming instead of a 2 bucket method it actually takes me more time to set up. If you want to stick with the foam- try Bilt hamber touchless, I have only heard good things about this from other detailers.
In terms of a drying towel, if you want something that can dry your truck effortlessly in one go- get the rag company 1500 (the red one). It's meant specifically for large vehicles. I use this one with Meguair's hybrid ceramic QD as a drying aid on my Tremor.
