Direct Sales?

How many of you would buy direct from Ford for full MSRP if it meant skipping the dealer (and the ADM's)?

I just sent a message to Ford on Facebook and was replied to by a customer service rep. He recorded all of my info and submitted it. Maybe if enough of us start sending in feedback they'll start to modernize the buying experience. Here is a link to their Facebook page in case you are interested in voicing your feedback.

I would not be willing to pay MSRP. I have fun negotiating and the savings is well worth it to me.

You asked for it. You got it. Welcome Model E to the growing list of direct sales companies.
Good call, man.
Will be interesting to see how they plan to do service/repairs. Will "Ford Blue/local dealers" be expected to shoulder that?

Dealer make more on service than they do sales.

Sure, and they make more in financing than the actual sale too, but I'm asking who will service these new direct-sold Electric Vehicles? Will dealers send their techs for training on vehicles they don't sell? Kind of playing Devil's Advocate here but really also curious how this will work.

We're probably putting more thought into it than Ford will lol

It would make sense for the dealerships to do that, would generate more potential servicing business.

Also wonder if they'd let mom/pop mechanic shops get certified to do it as well.

Could follow in Tesla's footsteps and have mobile units specific for EV, question then is would their home base be a dealership or service centers scattered around the US.

I'm picturing the Uber- Mechanic type set up.. punch in the issue, car auto sends the error codes, then you get the mechanic out to fix it.

Maybe Ford will flip the script and use Teslas for their mobile service vehicles.....
