I guess I don’t understand why anyone would want Ford streaming or Alexa subscriptions when the truck comes with Apple CarPlay and android auto?

Yeah, the subscriptions don't really concern me although Sirius is a freebie through Amex. For me, a secondary or tertiary method of confirming where I am is worth the spend.

I've used the Ford Pass app without subscriptions for 5 years, so remote starts, remote lock/unlock should be built into the free app as long as you register your vehicle there.

Same. The only subscription sort of related to FordPass is the hotspot subscription. My 2018 doesn't have the hotspot technology, but still has 4G for remote starts, vehicle info, etc... No cost for that. If anything it benefits Ford, they know exactly how many miles I've put on, idle time, etc...

Amazon's Alexa is way better AI than Siri is. Siri is dumb as a box of rocks.
