Ford Performance 5.0 Tune Incoming

The LOBO is interesting because it comes with the 4A setting as stock but unless something has or will change, the 4A setting can’t be had on the XLT.

Further than that, the Lobo sits below XLT as far as the trim model it’s built on. I am pretty sure it’s the same transfer case that’s offered in the Raptor and Tremor aka the Hi-Lock. Unfortunately that seems to be as far as they went with it. Maybe this is to build up until further development can be done but I was surprised not to see more performance oriented stats over visual but the Maverick pulled the same stunt so I guess this is the new trend. Ford wants to spend all this R&D with us for lifestyle vehicles that 80% of their customers don’t even use to full potential and then drop watered a down buzz vehicle. This truck is the Rattler all over again. At least I got to build a cool Tremor that now I know won’t become the promised future

This was good for 50-55hp gain in the Ranger Raptor correct? 450hp from my 5.0? yes please. But in my perfect world Ford would let me choose the way my truck configures on start up, by that I mean I want sport mode 2H with auto start stop disabled on start up instead of having to push buttons. Is it a big deal to have to push buttons every time?, not really but I'm old and I forget sometimes, and then I'm sad for awhile.

Doesn't your dash message, 'Do you want to return to Sport Mode?' when you start it up (after shutting it down in Sport)? You press OK on the steering wheel and then only have to put it back in 2WD. Not too many button presses... But the question is only up for a couple of secs.

The Ranger has a turbo, it is unlikely that the 5.0 will see a 50-55hp bump.
