Front end growl, Dealer blaming my Leveling kit.

Good morning all,

Took the Truck in to the dealer for a noise that developed in the front end of the truck. Truck had 107000km when the noise first appeared. Front end growl or a grinding you can feel and hear. From a standstill get up to 35km and let off the gas. The noise is there for a couple of seconds or a little more. If I put it in 4A if appears to go away. I was thinking it might be the TSB noted below. Id also like to mention the 2.0 inch Kit was installed when the truck was new.

2021–2025 Models (ESOF Systems): TSB 25-2612 (superseding earlier bulletins like 25-2513 and 24-2189) addresses an intermittent grinding, hum, or rumble from the front wheels on models with an Electronic Shift-On-The-Fly (ESOF) transfer case. The fix typically involves inspecting and cleaning half shaft splines or replacing components.

My local stealership said I need to have the leveling kit removed so they can check the front end. Tech said they cant check because when the truck is on the hoist the front end axles are on too much of an angle. He said because its binding. I call Bull Sh#t on that. The truck has been to this dealer three times and they can't seem to identify the issue even though they can hear the noise as well. I actually took the technician for a spin to show them.

Has anyone had this issue? Did the Dealership fix it for you under the above TSB?

I also wanted to mention that I have an appointment at another Ford Dealer for their review.

Its the Readylift 2.0" it was put in Nov 2023.

Not familiar with Readylift but searching shows pucks. Did you remove them and check for noise? Did you check your CV’s for damage?

Having the same noise and it resolved when putting into 4A as well. I had this noise BEFORE my Bilsteins went on.

I will be bringing mine back to the dealer when I get back in a few weeks.

I’d be putting that thing up on stilts and checking the front diff fluid if it was me. Also the axle bearing. Wasn’t there a recall on the Torson solenoids of 20-24 tremors?

I did not remove them, I did check the front end and didn't see anything from a visual standpoint.

If you have 2” spacers then there is probably some binding at full droop, but that shouldn’t impact their inspection. That’s one of those go somewhere else responses.

Mine is doing it as well, 25k miles and stock. I usually put it in 4A and then back to 2 and it goes away. Making appointment to get fixed this week.
