Halolift 2.0 vs Halolift 2.5 Offroad package's

OK, almost 1k miles into the elka 2-3" 2.5 IFP from Halolifts.
TLDR: really good coilovers if you're not carrying a BUNCH of extra weight.
Great: for light to medium trails
road trips/DD
Saving money over remote reservoir
Lift: -3/8 inch at factory setting (+1200 pounds added weight)
Droop: +7/8"
Ride: soft but not spongy
low speed traction: very good

Use case is everything. My added weight in back along with my shock choice in back limits the effectiveness of these shocks. I was riding around with 380 of 1644 pounds available payload. Most of that weight centered between the axles.

I took it up my back yard and it handled the rocks, dips and drops, well. Windrock blue trails were a breeze at low speed. I did run out of flex in two spots but the truck made those easy mode.

I still have my kidneys with the 700 (Canadian) pound springs. They were much more compliant than a set of eibach 700 pound springs which really did make for a really comfortable trip.

So I unloaded my truck (including camper) and things improved significantly. This is why a higher opinion from mid-trip (and why i put them above the non-dsc Fox. With only 600 total pounds added, these did really well on and off road. I did about 90 miles unloaded yesterday and it was definitely noticeable.

Halolifts vs eibach: Halolifts
Halolifts vs bilstein 6112: Halolifts (except in my use case)
Halolifts vs Fox 2.5: Halolifts
Halolifts vs Fox 2.5 DSC: Fox
Halolifts vs Icon IFP: Icon (top on this list, for me)

So I can revalve and respring a $1700 coilover or I can return/sell these and try the AFE SA or Fabtech DL for my rebuild set.
What was better with the fox 2.5 DSC? Better on road or off?

Adjustability made its ability to do separate things better, easy. I.e. switching to towing or heavy load or to full on Baja screamer

Why stop the testing now? You better try the Fox 3.0’s. The thread where the guy with thin skin has them it looks like you could get the lift you need, have 3” bodies with the twin hose for actual cooling. Plus they make the matching rear with DSC’s. I am not surprised that the ICON’s are still at the top of your list. They pretty much are built for your use case. Have you done Deaver or ICON leafs yet?
I'm pretty sure my wife just took a contract out on you.

Also, I really need to stop throwing money away in the name of science.

That's all right @Fozzy my wife has already taken a contract out on @Yeti so don't feel bad.
Tell her my back yard is getting full. Maybe we can negotiate. How about my pork shoulder or maybe my bbq stuffed bacon wrapped smoked yetipeños in lieu of me having to dig another hole?

And @Fozzy damn you. I know if those 3.0s went on, I wouldn't want to swap them for my trips. Then my trips would be limited to light trails and Baja bombing runs. But I am thinking about it...

@Yeti You could always go to ADS and have them design exactly what you want and get them custom tuned on sight. They do all different builds.

Also the more hole and mounds you have gives you more obstacles to test on, for some reason all gps leads to my house, now ask yourself would you turn down a dead end road that nobody could hear your screams from.....a lot of people do for some reason.....

Stay tuned... (yeah, I did that)

True story but people are starting to ask questions where all the extra dirt is coming from to make my hill the highest in Nashville.

I'm not sure what Halolifts changes with re to tuning these over stock elka, but prob not significant difference. I'd be curious how the elka dc version fair given their adjustability.

I am thinking about putting the Halolift Off Road package on my 2022 Tremor. I hit the tails occasionally, but when I do I like the Green and BLue rated trails. I also do overlanding and sometime carry water, Roof top tep over the bed, and a week or two worth of camping gear. SO my load can get heavy. I do have airbags installed. Anyone have any thoughts between the 2.0 vs the 2.5 Halolift off road package. I called Halolift ad they do sell the package with either 2.5 or 2.0. I am afraid the 2.5 will not be good on road. Anyone have any thoughts or experience with these?
I realize I'm late to the party but I opted for the 2.5s over the 2.0s and the ride quality on road is good. I haven't had any issues other than forgetting to clean them after I go out sometimes and then getting the sound described on this thread: https://www.f150forum.com/f118/noise-hell-boss-halo-coilovers-378342/
