Heated steering wheel recall/ customer sat

I'm sorry what? Like for everything or just that module? I see it on eBay for $100 right now with digital temp readout. I might just order it just to have while I wait for a Raptor wheel. I can verify output/relay action at the least since I have the plug existing.
Everything. Wheel, hvac, sccm. Thanks for the 140.00 credit 😂.

Yeah this is the frustrating part. They could have (should have) made this all a retrofit for the future. It would not have been hard to do if it was a chip shortage. And it would have went a long way with customer satisfaction. Not sure why they just chose to say "ahh, if you want to buy a new truck in '23, sorry about your luck". Of course, I still bought the truck haha.

I've honestly not seen anyone post about having a $50 credit. It's not like I'm intensely reading every single post made about the HSW on this forum, but from what I have seen, it seems like there are a lot of people saying like "a lousy $140 saved gee thanks" etc. But yeah seems like it's mostly been $140 and not $50 comments. Which makes me wonder if maybe the Tremor isn't part of this campaign and it's other models only.
My build was 04/04/23. I have a $50 credit on my window sticker.

Your $50 credit was for heated steering wheel removal? Does you HVAC module have the steering wheel button? Based on the recall posted here you fall 1 week outside the window (09/22/22 - 3/29/23), but it seems you would fit the criteria. I actually think that I should qualify for this (although I dont need it since I already did the retrofit myself), but I cant see where the $50 vs $140 credit applies since there is no mention relating to that in the recall.

Just looked around at trucks dealers are getting in. A lot of the new Tremors 402A no longer have the heated steel wheel delete listed or credited towards the MSRP.

Nope, I don’t have the button. 😒

Ford stopped that delete a few months ago, so trucks now come from the factory with the heated wheel

I doubt you actually have a heated wheel then too, so you need 3 parts: SCCM, HVAC module with button, new steering wheel.

Can you post a pic of your window sticker? Still have yet to see the $50 credit vs the $140

You have a 23?
Yes, I have a 23. I had ordered a 22 and the dealership sold it out from under me so I got the next Tremor they had coming in that was built the same (just a different color and ended up being a 23 with the heated steering wheel delete. Luckily I got the bed camera, otherwise I would have retrofit that myself too). Part of my negotiation with the GM to fix their mistake was to take $1,500 additional off as that is what I was going to have to spend to buy the parts I needed to get the heated steering wheel (my 22 would have had it). I also bought all my parts at the height of the SCCM shortage so I overpaid for that part. I did a Raptor wheel that cost me $750 and the HVAC with digital dials and steering wheel button was around $150

Anyone get their letter yet?

Sorry, I just looked at the window sticker again. I have a $50 credit, but it was for the auto start stop. 🤦🏻‍♂️. I do have a -$140 for heated steering wheel delete.

Another option is to pull the plastic from underneath the steering wheel so you can see up behind it. Check if there is a 2 wire connector going into the back side of the SCCM separate from the larger connector that is for the button controls.
So I lifted the pettycoat up and took a peak tonight. Great news is that the hard wiring for the heated wheel is in place. Just need to get both the SCCM and the heated wheel now. Might go Raptor wheel at this point just since I’m buying a wheel regardless now that I checked to see it’s not already heated. Just have to dig into if that’ll be worth it as, again, I’d like to have the factory connections landed for the paddles. Would also be nice to get the steering mode button at the least to work though more than likely will just transfer my existing switches. This is a good victory for me tonight though. The SCCM and wheel itself were easy items to do, factory connections was my larger worry.

Edit:

Someone correct me if I’m wrong but the paddle shifters from a raptor wheel swap should work right away by the looks of this connector. I may be doing this swap sooner than anticipated.

Thank you @b-real and @ThickGatorade for the suggestions…I was able to confirm I have the wiring! Now I just need to lock in what part numbers I need for the SCCM and heated steering wheel.

I want to make sure I only need the SCCM (ML3Z3F791BB) and the heated steering wheel (ML3Z3600VA) for it to work. My truck does have Ford Co-Pilot 360 Assist 2.0 but no bluecruise…I believe I read the steering wheel part number above was for bluecruise so will it work with non bluecruise trucks?

For those of us who are in the $140.00 dollar club as well as the stated build date in the letter, fingers crossed.

I confirmed I have the wiring as well, so just need the wheel and SCCM. Thinking about just ordering it, Lakeland ford shows both parts shipped for 700$~. Has anyone been replacing the torx bolt for the wheel? Debating if I should order that as well.

Found a wheel in stock, found just the clock spring (ML3T-14A664-B) and today I found the HVAC panel from a 21 with the LCDs + heated wheel button.

I think total money out of pocket right now is around 650$~
