Yeah I tried to run with it then, no dice. Was excited seening a "US Truck", then read the update it was Candian sold...the faint hopes that something had changed.

You are the first person I have heard of in the US and not a Lightning getting the steering wheel added back. Did your window sticker have a $50 credit or $140 credit? If you qualify for this "recall" your truck must already have a heated steering wheel, but not the correct SCCM (the recall does not apply to my '23, but I also did not have a heated wheel on my 402a. I had the $140 credit). Not sure what they do for the button; whether they replace the HVAC controls for one with the heated steering wheel button or just add the soft button on your SYNC screen. Does the recall show up under your Ford Pass?

In reading this notice, I don't see anything that states this only affects Canadian delivered vehicles? Am I missing something??

The recall does not state it, but it does state that it only applies to certain vehicles, with 6,261 being affected. Thats less than the number of F150s with the heated steering wheel delete sold in California alone. Since no one with a US vehicle has ever received this recall (aside from Lightning owners), but Canadian F150 owners have, it has been deducted that Ford only applied this to Canadian ICE F150s.

Tried ordering from Lakeland Ford, was out of stock everywhere else [ML3Z3600VA] but after I ordered it they reached out and said it's not available, and Ford does not allow customers to be auto-notified when back in stock. Disappointed with this

I think it is the build period (Sep 2022 - March 2023) rather than "Canada only" as the TSB says "US population of affected vehicles: 6,261. Affected vehicles are identified in OASIS and FSA VIN Lists."

I'm in that window so I am going to check tomorrow/Wednesday. I'll update when I find out.

Went to dealership today. They looked up VIN, didn't see anything regarding this TSB. Didn't even know about the TSB. Said I would get a letter if this applied.

Dealership is probably correct in what it found out, but it didn't sound convincing or definitive in the least.

So, who knows...?

Not to shatter your hopes, but this letter has been out since Sept, so if you didn’t get one then you are not going to get one in the future. Your dealership wasn’t aware of it because they probably haven’t had any Lightning owners that this applies to bring it in to them to have the TSB done, and they didn’t see it under your VIN because it doesn’t apply to your truck

Yup. Agreed, the letter has been out for awhile. But it wouldn't be the first time something's been out for awhile and I didn't get the letter. Or the second....

Didn't expect it to apply to mine (as I got the $140 delete credit; the "full delete"?), but since my truck was in that build window and I was at the dealership for another reason, it didn’t hurt to ask.

Curious why you said "Lightning owners" as I didn't see "Lightning" in the TSB. Could very well be that my eyes are failing me....

Just like the letter does not specifically say "only Canadian ICE trucks", it also doesnt specifically say "only US Lightning trucks". It simply says "certain F150 vehicles". From reports across many forums it has been determined that the only trucks in the US getting this applied are Lightnings, and the only ICE trucks qualifying are Canadian trucks.
