Help me Decide What I Want

So that dealer called later the same day and was basically very argumentative with me about negotiating a price. It pretty much turned me off of buying the truck. But they increased my trade value another $4k. They basically had another 2-3k of random charges on the invoice though, like 1000$ protection package, 900$ dealer prep fee... I'm not paying for that garbage. They messaged me again this morning asking what it would take, I gave them a ridiculous number, basically their deal minus the dealer added on random charges. Haven't heard back from them since, but we'll see.

As for a 24, I cannot stand the grill, it looks like fish or something.

I’d keep looking for a 2023 402A TREMOR High Package.
Do you have an engine preference?
I would prefer the 5.0 V8, but at this point I might have to settle for the 3.5. I just really like the sound of the Coyote.

Glad to hear that you’re standing your ground.

I hate dealers that play these games which is the reason I flew from GA to MO to buy my 2023 TREMOR almost three months ago.

I agree with you on the 2024….that grill / face is hideous looking to me not to mention the downgraded lighting.

So with the original deal I was sitting at having to barrow 20k. When I asked for either a lower price on the truck or more on my trade they became very argumentative and acted like their price was final. Then they came down to 16k which is still more that I wanted to pay. Another sales manager texted me and asked what it would take for them to make a deal. I said get it to 10k, after all the crap your sales man and sales manager gave me I'm not sure I even want the truck anymore. That was two days ago. They texted me back today saying they can do 12k and apologized for the terrible customer service.

Do I take the deal? Its a 23 Avalanche Gray 402a, Torsen front end, 5.0 and 11k miles. I think the only thing I would change would be for it to be Oxford White, but I still really like the Avalanche color.

So what are they going to sell the truck for and what are they going to give you for trade in? And what does your F250 book for?

And you will get a lot more compliments on the Avalanche color than the white.

He hasn't sent me a price breakdown yet. But kbb says my trade in should be around 58k and that is at the lowest quality setting (have an accident reported on my carfax but no real damage to the truck). Their sales price listed is 65k. My quick maths says at 12k out the door they brought my trade in value up to that 58k mark and with what I owe that should be right at 65k sale price.

I just like the oxford white because it pops and i like how bright it is, but I like avalanche just as much because its pretty unique.

Definitely a sweet truck, love the avalanche. I would try to get them down to the 10k mark.

How long have they had it? If it were me, I would continue to push for them to come down.

For reference, I bought mine brand new in July for 63-64k and it's the exact same truck (including color) minus the Pro Power. Avalanche was my second choice, but I'm super glad I went with it now.

I would continue to push to get the price down. Are you willing to go outside your home state? Have you looked in other area’s that have inventory? Being end of year I’m sure you can get deal on a new 23. I bought my 23 new on the last day of the year in 2022 and got it 1k over invoice. (Which last year this time was a great deal) Same build as the one you are looking at minus the work surface, lockable storage and got in Oxford white.

There is an oxford white 402a in OK, but the dealer isn't listing a price on their website. So based on what you guys are saying, I should be able to get a new one for roughly the same price as this used one I'm looking at?

I would think so. Dealers will be motivated, end of year and it is the holidays so less selling days.

Having Pro Power makes that a pretty good deal.
The first owner took a loss and you’re getting a used Tremor that’s still under the factory bumper to bumper warranty so that’s definitely a plus.

Yes, dealers in other states might have deals on the 2023’s because they’re ready for the 2024’s but, finding one equipped just like this one in your preferred color might be difficult and you might miss out on this one if you wait too long.

I hope that you can find one that checks all the boxes for you including the price.

I hope I’m wrong but, I doubt that you’ll be able to get a new one at the most recent used price that you were offered.

Yes it’s the end of the year and dealers want to move the 2023 F150’s but the big push and incentives are on non Tremor and Raptor F150’s.

Everyone likes what they like and this truck looks beautiful in all the colors, but I get so many people complimenting my avalanche and asking about the color. The orange and black pop nice on it.

Well as I was telling them to send me the papers, someone was their buying the truck. They offered me one of their new tremors for 18k otd, that's kind of more than I want to pay though. They are taking $5,755 off msrp.

11k fewer miles.

Have you looked around Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia? I've been checking out some new 23's and some dealers are dealing on them. So might be worth a search in those states if you don't mind driving some. Also while looking myself if you select certain options trucks disappear only for me to go look at the truck and find it had the option I selected. So I guess it's how the dealers put them in which is kinda messed up. Good luck with your search if you haven't already bought something.
