Idling down to prevent turbos coking: poll

I've been driving a 3.5 eco since 2013. I've always left them stock. No catch can no idle down. Just drove them and changed the oil. Last Sept I traded my 2013 for a 2023 Tremor. I was happy with the 3.5 so I got another one.
